After Antoine Griezmann’s decision to stay at Atletico Madrid, Manchester United were desperately looking for a striker. Their targeted strikers are Kylian Mbappe of AS Monaco and now Alvaro Morata of Real Madrid, who has denied reports that he had a verbal agreement with AC Milan. Also, it was being suggested that he had stated that he wanted to stay at the Bernabeu.
The Spaniard has found himself very less times in Real Madrid’s top 11 but has performed well whenever he has got a chance.
He bagged 20 goals for the European champions this season in just seventeen starts and has played as a substitute mostly(22 games), though his inclusion in the side at the later stages of the game helps his side as he has got a good pace and understanding of the game.
The Red Devils had reportedly been ready to spend a good amount of money for the striker which could see the 24 year old star and from Real Madrid’s point of view selling a potential future star would not be good, though it had become frustrating for him, watching most of the season from the sidelines.
With that said and done, the Telegraph claims that he is all set to move to Old Trafford and has already informed his friends about a deal that has been done with the Manchester based side.
If United can now agree a fee with the reigning champions of Europe, Mourinho’s team could add a highly talented star up front.
However, one thing is certain that the Portuguese manager will want to pay quite less than the £78m valuation of Los Blancos, for their priced asset.
