Arsenal Refuse To Pay £50m For This Match-Winner, Make £35m Offer, As La Liga Giants Monitor Situation

Arsenal dismisses unacceptable demands!!

The Premiere League giants have offered £35m for Riyad Mahrez but Leicester are adamant to sell their star player for nothing less than £50m as the 26 year old is expected to leave the 2016 Premiere league champions this summer. The North Londoners for a season have been heavily linked with the Algerian international who is determined to secure a move away from the King Power Stadium and also officially handed in a transfer request in may this year, But Arsene Wenger un not interested to pay a fee in excess of £50 million and has hence submitted a bid of £35 million to secure his services.

The ball currently lies in Leicester’s court as there valuation of the player is certainly a bit overpriced as £35m looks as a very reasonable sum that Arsenal are willing to negotiate to.

3 season’s ago no one had heard the name of Riyad Mahrez but today all of the footballing community know him as he played a vital role in one of football’s greatest fairytale. From playing for a second tier French team too becoming the champion of England in the span of two years, Shows his hard work and determination to be among the best.

The Algerian played for Le Havre before signing for Leicester city on a 3 and a half year deal, He helped Leicester win the English Championship in the 2013-14 season which gained them promotion to the Premier League, In his debut season in the Premier league he didn’t do much as he made 30 appearance in the league scoring just 4 goals as Leicester finished at the 14th place.

Altough, Mahrez had a tough outing in his first season in the Premier league but he came back stronger in the 2015-16 season as he appeared in 37 league games finding the net 17 times and also laid 11 assists for his team mates which helped Leicester clinch the Premier league title and Riyad Mahrez was named PFA-Player of the year for the season 2015-16.

Showcasing of his fantastic abilities have made him a target for few bigger clubs including FC Barcelona, as Mahrez wants regular Champions League football and is ready to take the next big step in his career.

Although Arsenal will not feature in this season’s UCL, the Londoners still have the capability to lure big players to the Emirates.

Do Arsenal really need Mahrez?

Why is Wenger chasing another attacker, especially a winger? Unless there is some plan of letting the likes of Alex Oxlade Chamberlain, Ramsey, Walcott, Iwobi and a few others, rot on the bench or leave, then it totally makes sense.

In my opinion, the one place where the French manager needs to focus the most is defence and the holding midfield positions. If we can keep enough quality players at the back and in front of the defensive line, the the attack will automatically create and win us games, which should help us claim more silverware in the near future.
