Premier League Outfit Confirms Signing Of Former Manchester United Star

Deal Done!!

It has now been confirmed that West Ham United have signed former Manchester United star Javier Hernandez, from Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen. The news has now been confirmed, after it was claimed that the Mexican international was all set to leave Germany, in the days to come.

The Hammers have now agreed a deal to sign the attacker for a fee of £16m, which seems to be a fair deal, though he is 29 years old at present.

The player will be flying to London shortly, in order to agree personal times, after which he will have a medical and the deal will be done then.

The attacker, who has made a total of 96 appearances for his nation side, scoring 48 times, rose to stardom when Sir Alex brought him to Old Trafford from his boyhood club.

He did enjoy a good spell under the legendary Red Devils’ manager, though his name and fame eventually faded away with time and he was sold.

Since his move away from the Premier League, the player has had a steady career in Germany and was keen on making a return to England.

What does the player bring to the team?

He is currently Mexico’s leading scorer at the international level, with a tally of 47 goals to his name. He had scored 59 goals in 156 appearances for the Manchester based side, between 2010-2015 and eventually joined the German outfit for £7.3m in August of that year.

For Bayer, he has a total of 39 goals to his name in 76 matches, which is quite a good record as well and it seems that the Londoners have signed a player, who can give them a good number of goals each season.

Chicharito has his own set of admirers, who will say that he should have never left, while some of the United fans may feel that he was an “outcast”. However, whatever be the tag, one thing that neither one of them can disagree to, is the fact that he is a high quality player.

Hopefully, he can make a name for himself once again with Slaven Bilic’s side, who have looked rather good in recent seasons.

More on Manchester United-

Jose Mourinho’s side beat their domestic rivals City 2-0 in a friendly game, with the Portuguese manager calling it a “good training session”. This might have angered rival boss Pep Guardiola to an extent, as it was just a friendly and was expected to be played in that spirit, though the former Chelsea and Real Madrid manager added a bit of flare to it.

There is still time prior to the start of the new campaign, though this win would have been a huge boost for United and Mourinho, with both clubs still looking to add a few more stars to their squads. The transfer season is far from over and there are still be a few big targets left on either club’s list.
