Arsenal News: Diant Ramaj, born on 19 September 2001, emerges as a prominent figure in German football, showcasing his prowess as a goalkeeper for Ajax in the Dutch Eredivisie. Ramaj’s journey in football commenced within the Stuttgart clubs, including SpVgg Cannstatt, VfB Stuttgart, and Stuttgarter Kickers during his formative years. Transitioning to 1. FC Heidenheim in 2018 marked a significant shift in his career trajectory.

The pivotal moment arrived on 21 April 2019, as Ramaj earned his first taste of senior team recognition, being listed as a substitute in a league encounter against St. Pauli. Three months later, he ascended to the senior squad, assuming the role of the third goalkeeper, operating behind Kevin Müller and Vitus Eicher.

What’s the matter?

The culmination of his efforts materialized on 10 May 2021, when Ramaj penned his inaugural professional contract with Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt, embarking on a promising three-year tenure. Reportedly, Arsenal is eyeing 22-year-old Ajax goalkeeper Diant Ramaj for the upcoming season, according to a report from Football Transfers. The club aims to bolster their goalkeeping position in the summer transfer window and has expressed interest in Ramaj, who has garnered considerable attention due to his exceptional performances and promising future.

At just 22 years of age, Ramaj aligns perfectly with Mikel Arteta’s tactical framework. Renowned for his ball-playing ability, agility between the posts, and proficiency in initiating attacks from deep, Ramaj is viewed as a potential successor to Aaron Ramsdale, who is reportedly unsettled at the club. Arsenal’s pursuit of Ramaj underscores their commitment to reinforcing key positions within the squad as they strive for success in the upcoming campaign.

Arsenal faces the task of finding a successor for Thomas Partey, amid rumors of the Ghanaian’s impending exit from the club. Despite displaying quality performances, Partey has grappled with injuries throughout the season. Palhinha, alongside Declan Rice, emerges as a prospective duo to forge a formidable midfield partnership for the Gunners.

Meanwhile, Liverpool seeks a youthful option to complement their midfield setup, with Wataru Endo in focus. The Japanese international has impressed since joining the Reds. Palhinha’s potential arrival could inject dynamism and depth into Liverpool’s midfield rotation.
