The Huge Claim-
The Champions Of Europe are currently on a look-out to sign another attacker and the latest rumors claim that Real Madrid have identified Chelsea’s Eden Hazard who is ready to be swapped for Welsh star Gareth Bale. And reports claim that Hazard has kept in touch with the Los Blancos boss Zinedine Zidane over a potential move to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Who wouldn’t want to play for the best team in the world at the moment? Eden Hazard certainly wants to do so.
The Chelsea forward is currently out of action for his club but has been reportedly holding talks with Zidane and may give Chelsea fans a huge blow.
The Blues boss Antonio Conte has already been frustrated with the lack of signings at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea hasn’t managed to acquire their prime targets. And with the news of Hazard, the situation at the club may just worsen after a poor start to the campaign.
Hazard is arguably the best player at Chelsea but seemingly wants a move out now after having led them to two Premier League titles and one League Cup since his arrival from Lille in 2012.
If Conte is not willing to sell Hazard, it is understood that the 26 year old Belgian winger is ready to force a move away from Stamford Bridge.
With youngsters like Marco Asensio and Isco, Hazard would be able to gel in well with the talent that the Spanish champions have in their ranks. But with Hazard’s contract at Chelsea expiring in 2020, it may be slightly difficult for Madrid to make a move for the ace forward.
Last season, Hazard netted 16 times and notched up five assists to help Chelsea gain the Premier League, but it seems now that the Belgian has his sights set on the grandest prize in European football, the Champions League.
Hazard may feel that the best shot at winning it is to join the best club in Europe, with Los Blancos winning it and retaining the title last term.
Real Madrid have also shown interest in AS Monaco forward Kylian Mbappe, if a deal for Hazard doesn’t take place. However, many football fans wonder how that would affect Gareth Bale’s place at the club.
Losing a player of the calibre of the Belgian international would be a huge blow for Conte and his side, who will be trying their best now to keep hold of him.
Despite that, it seems that it would totally be the player’s decision whether he wants to stay at Stamford Bridge or leave the club and move to Madrid.
While the west Londoners have been trying hard to add more players to their squad, losing one of their main players, especially a match-winner like Hazard could be a huge blow for the Italian manager and his ambitions of retaining the Premier League title.
Still the fans and the management will be hoping that they can convince the attacker to stay and snub the reigning champions of Europe once again, as he has done in the past.
