Arsenal made Real Madrid a €45 million bid for their 19-year-old wonderkid Arda Guler. Arsenal was hoping to get the gifted midfielder. However, Real Madrid is not going to sell him just now. The Spanish giants only think about a loan transfer to help him grow, claims Fichajes. Arda Guler was acquired by Real Madrid from Fenerbahce over the summer. Their payment for the youthful talent was not much. President of Real Madrid Florentino Perez recognized promise in Guler and granted the player’s team permission to pay an extra amount to help Fenerbahce.
Though Guler was sought after by other teams, Perez saw him as essential to Real Madrid’s future. Even with his little playing time since his arrival, Guler has showed signs of promise. Out of his four goals, three came in his previous four games. Arsenal’s latest offer demonstrates their desire in a young, developing offensive midfielder. They have shown curiosity in Xavi Simons as well. Real Madrid, however, turned down the deal. They said that they don’t want to trade Guler this summer or most likely next. The Spanish team is not trying to turn a fast buck off of a player who has had injury problems this season. They should think about loaning him out instead to support his growth.
Arsenal Made A €45 Million Bid For Arda Guler; Real Madrid Responds
Guler was awarded a long-term deal by Real Madrid that runs until 2029. They want to retain him for the long run, and this deal demonstrates that. He might be sent out for a season to get additional playing experience and development. There is interest in a loan deal from many La Liga teams. Such a team is Real Betis. Should Guler go there on loan, they may give him a lot of playing time. Guler believes he has a great future at the Santiago Bernabeu, as does Real Madrid. The club is still adamant about this position as the summer transfer window draws near.
Real Madrid made logical choice by turning down Arsenal’s €45 million bid for Arda Guler. They want to develop his skill as they consider him to be a long-term asset. Notwithstanding several injuries and little playing time, Guler has showed potential. Right now would be a bad time to sell him. It is wise to lend him out for further experience. Real Betis is one of the teams that may provide him the game time. Real Madrid is showing that they think he has promise by concentrating on his growth. Retaining him for the future fits with their plan to assemble a potent young team.
