Chelsea seems to be concentrating on 24-year-old Paraguayan winger Ramon Sosa, who is now at CA Talleres. Hernan Castillo, an Argentine journalist for Radio Continental, claims that the Blues are considering adding Sosa to their team during the next summer transfer window. Ever since moving to CA Talleres in January 2023 from Club de Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata, Sosa has been creating a stir.
Maracaná native Sosa practiced his craft at home until breaking through in the River Plate juvenile division a few years ago. Especially impressive have been his six goals and four assists in 16 games played in a variety of tournaments during the 2024 season. With numbers this good, it makes sense that teams all across Europe, including Chelsea, are interested in him.
Sosa is expected to leave in the summer, according to CA Talleres President Andres Gass. He also said that interested teams would have to pay his £15.7 million release clause. Though some may wonder whether Chelsea really needs more wingers considering the depth at that position, this clause offers an enticing possibility. Even if Chelsea may gain from strengthening other positions like striker and center-back, Sosa’s comparatively cheap release clause might make him a desirable choice without completely draining their money. All the same, Chelsea could be better suited releasing a wide player before pursuing Sosa.
Chelsea Seems To Be Concentrating On 24-year-old Paraguayan Winger
It is ultimately up to Chelsea and if they think Sosa’s skills warrant the outlay. Everybody will be watching to see whether Chelsea moves to sign Sosa when the summer transfer market opens. Sosa is still a tempting proposition for the Blues until then, which heightens the interest in their transfer intentions.
Some are surprised by Chelsea’s interest in Ramon Sosa. Even if he’s a talented player, Chelsea should be concentrating on signing a top-notch striker or center-back. Although Sosa’s release clause makes sense, are additional wingers really necessary? If they dump one first, it may make sense. Chelsea has to give their choices a lot of thought. They should keep in mind their greater demands even if Sosa may be a fantastic acquisition.

Conor Gallagher, a midfielder for Chelsea, is certain that he will not be joining Newcastle United this summer. A hurdle has been encountered by the Football Insider story that Newcastle is interested in adding Gallagher to their midfield. The player himself has no desire to go to Tyneside. Gallagher has had a remarkable career inside Chelsea. He has been a regular member of the first squad since 2022. His contributions to 16 goals have been notable during the current season. Gallagher has played in 49 games and has scored 7 goals and provided 9 assists.
Although Gallagher’s performance has drawn a lot of attention, especially from Mauricio Pochettino who wants to include him in the team for the next campaign, there is a chance he may leave. Though talks for an extension have come to a standstill, his deal with Chelsea runs until the summer of 2025. Newcastle United becomes one of the interested parties hoping to take advantage of the scenario as Chelsea looks to sell him in the summer to preserve financial balance. Gallagher is still reluctant to join the Magpies, however.
