Arsenal Is Interested In The £120m Striker

Transfer speculations abound at Arsenal, especially with regard to the best attackers in Europe. A top-notch striker, according to both fans and experts, might help the squad win the Premier League. This conviction is based on the influence of Erling Haaland at Manchester City, where his presence contributed to another league triumph. Arsenal, meanwhile, was unable to defeat Pep Guardiola’s squad.

The interest of Arsenal was recently highlighted by an update on Inter Milan forward Lautaro Martinez from Italian journalist Fabio Santini. World Cup winner Martinez has led his squad to Serie A triumph this season. Right now, he and Inter Milan are discussing a new deal. Only under their conditions, the Italian club wants to retain him. Prospective bidders are interested in him even if his contract expires in 2026.

Martinez has been given an offer by Inter Milan, according to Santini, with a yearly wage range of €9 million to €9.5 million (£7.6 million to £8.1 million). Martinez is asking €12 million (£10.2 million) a year, however. “Arsenal are professing again this morning that they want Thuram,” Santini said during a TVPlay Official on Twitch chat. As it happens, they also want to take Lautaro. Inter seldom gives it much thought. But if Lautaro declares he wants €10 million plus €2 million in salary or he’s gone, [Inter] will respond, “Great, if Arsenal offers €140 million (£120 million), we’ll sell you.”

Martinez looks to be having his agent negotiate a better agreement with Inter Milan. Martinez isn’t really interesting Arsenal; The Telegraph reports that they’re also thinking at Benjamin Sesko of RB Leipzig.

Arsenal has to give their choices serious thought. The summer before, they paid £100 million for Declan Rice; it would not be wise to invest a further £120 million on Martinez. Arsenal also needs a midfielder and a full-back, hence such a deal would take up the majority of their summer transfer money.

Martinez is one of the greatest attackers available and has often shown for Inter Milan, but Arsenal’s financial situation makes this transfer dubious. To bolster their team without sacrificing their entire plan, they could have to look at more reasonably priced possibilities.

Having just missed out on the Premier League championship to Manchester City, William Saliba boldly declares “big things” await Arsenal the next season. Arsenal won a league record 28 games this season, yet they were just two points shy of the championship. The group led by Mikel Arteta is fully aware of this setback having also been near the year before. They may be proud of challenging City right up to the very end, even after the sorrow.

A standout feature of Arsenal‘s campaign was Saliba’s collaboration with Gabriel Magalhães. At only 29 goals allowed, the pair was the foundation of the league’s top defense. Arsenal’s backline was highlighted by goalkeeper David Raya’s outstanding performance, which won him the Premier League Golden Glove. Playing every minute of the campaign, Saliba thinks the team’s diligence will eventually be rewarded.
