Liverpool Will Not Sign The £60m Target Of Arsenal

Pedro Neto is no longer being pursued by Liverpool. This choice has been motivated by worries about his injury history and the steep price tag that Wolves have set. Pedro Neto is a dangerous investment as he has had many serious injuries in previous seasons. With their reputation for being astute in the transfer market, Liverpool is hesitant to part with £60 million for a player with such a dubious injury history.

Unquestionably gifted is Pedro Neto. Being one of the most promising young wingers in the Premier League, he has shown his potential. His abilities are well admired, and several elite teams think he would be a great addition to their teams. Numerous clubs are prepared to provide the Portuguese attacker the chance to play in the Champions League, which is his desire. Still, his injury problems have clouded his possible move.

Neto was out of action for four months the previous season because of a serious hamstring problem. Over the last three seasons, he has had three significant injuries. Clubs are leery because of these fitness issues even with his obvious potential. Wolves’ £60 million asking price for Neto only serves to heighten possible bidders’ trepidation.

Neto is much sought after by Arsenal; Mikel Arteta has named him as a top target. The decision by Liverpool to stifle their interest may put the Gunners in a stronger position to bargain with Wolves. Though first enthusiastic, Liverpool seems to be focusing elsewhere these days. They do not want to take a chance on a player whose injury history may result in protracted lengths of time off the field.

Liverpool Will Not Sign The £60m Target Of Arsenal

Give Me Sport’s Ben Jacobs said that Neto’s injury history and the exorbitant asking price are two reasons Liverpool is reluctant. The transfer plan of Liverpool is not in line with spending £60 million on a player who may not remain healthy all the time. The Reds are renowned for moving in the market with caution to maximize their returns.

Though Liverpool always seeks to improve and make plans for the future, their present team already has several excellent wingers. Mohamed Salah’s future is still up for debate, with reports of interest from Saudi Arabian teams. Should Salah go, Liverpool will need a successor. They are looking at other options now, although at first Neto seems like a good one.

Mohammed Kudus of West Ham is one guy Liverpool is keeping an eye upon. Salah left a void that Kudus may fill, but his cost might be more than the Wolves are asking for Neto. Johan Bakayoko of PSV offers yet another option. Considering that he would be less expensive than Kudus and Neto, Liverpool would find him appealing.

Finally, Liverpool’s choice to put Pedro Neto on hold is motivated by pragmatic considerations. His injury history and the hefty asking price of the Wolves make him an unwise purchase. Even if Neto is clearly talented, Liverpool would rather look at other possibilities that provide less risk and better value. The club maintains their competitive edge in the Premier League and beyond by concentrating on long-term gains and reducing any setbacks in their transfer plan.
