£65m Arsenal Target Not Wanted By Tottenham

Arsenal News: Tottenham Hotspur has chosen to give up on trying to sign Dominic Solanke. This move is mostly motivated by the striker from Bournemouth’s £65 million release clause. Spurs are now seeking for other choices to strengthen their offensive squad since they don’t want to pay such a big price.

More firepower is something Tottenham’s new manager, Ange Postecoglou, is anxious to add. Richarlison, who joined from Everton, has not been up to par, and they have mostly depended on Son Heung-min to play center forward. For the club, finding a new striker has thus taken front stage.

Tottenham has to be careful with their expenditures because of their financial limits. They want to bolster a number of positions, so it seems foolish to spend £65 million on one individual. They have thus chosen not to trigger Solanke’s release clause.

This provision has done a good job of shielding Solanke for Bournemouth, particularly considering his stellar 21-goal campaign. Not just Tottenham is interested in Solanke. Arsenal and Newcastle United have shown interest in the striker as well. But Arsenal has turned their attention to a younger attacker, which has made Tottenham’s task somewhat simpler if they had decided to go for Solanke hard.

Spurs has to look at other possibilities now. One candidate to come up is Stuttgart-based Serhou Guirassy. Spurs can afford his more reasonable £17.5 million release clause. Postecoglou’s system would benefit from Guirassy’s experience and goal-scoring prowess, who wants to succeed in both the Premier League and European tournaments.

Tottenham also hopes to find their new striker before the month is over. An alternative possible target is Ivan Toney. Spurs are apparently prepared to pay Toney around £40 million, which is still a lot less than Solanke’s release clause.

In short, Tottenham has chosen to forego activating Dominic Solanke’s £65 million release clause because of financial constraints. A move this costly is unfeasible since they need to strengthen many areas of the team. Rather, they will concentrate on more reasonably priced choices like Serhou Guirassy and maybe Ivan Toney. The choice is a calculated move by the club in getting ready for the next campaign. Watching intently to see who Tottenham eventually brings in to bolster their assault will be both fans and pundits.

The gifted youth player Chido-Obi Martin presents Arsenal with a challenge. Bayern Munich has shown interest in the youthful striker, and the club wants to retain him. Arsenal is waiting for Martin to decide and is keen to hang onto him, according to The Evening Standard. Martin is a bright Danish young star who has performed well up until U-18. Bayern Munich has offered an offer that is luring the youngster to relocate.

Arsenal obviously wants to keep Martin. His notable efforts with the U-16s and U-18s this season have been exceptional. His skill is shown by his 10 goals in one U-16 game versus Liverpool. Since then, he has advanced to the U-18s, where he keeps proving himself. Notwithstanding his achievements, interest from other big teams makes his future at Arsenal dubious.

Martin piqued Real Madrid’s attention recently. Bayern Munich seems to be the most serious competitor at the moment, while Borussia Dortmund has also shown interest. Martin would have had to make a difficult choice if they had extended him a big contract. Arsenal has responded with a scholarship agreement that, at Martin’s 17th birthday, will become a professional contract.
