Arsenal Want The PSG Star On Loan

Arsenal Want The PSG Star On Loan

Concerning a potential Xavi Simons move, Arsenal has contacted Paris Saint-Germain. The Bundesliga loan term of the 21-year-old midfielder with RB Leipzig recently ended. Due to contractual commitments with PSV Eindhoven, PSG may not be able to transfer him this summer, according to French news source L’Équipe. Should PSG sell Simons before January 2025, PSV would get a large portion of the proceeds. The most probable course of action is thus a loan move.

Because of a stipulation in his PSG contract, Simons will have influence over his future team. Simons wants stability in the Bundesliga after traveling about a lot during the last three years, therefore another loan transfer to RB Leipzig is likely. His participation in the Euros will determine the ultimate choice. After serving a loan in Germany, Simons is reluctant to return to Paris. Though PSG boss Luis Enrique values him, Simons wants more playing time and a leadership position. He believes that at this time PSG is unable to provide that.

Simons is not just interesting to Arsenal. Additionally contacting PSG have been Manchester City, Manchester United, and Bayern Munich. Barcelona has not shown desire to bring back a former youth player, however. Selling Simons is complicated by the agreement between PSG and PSV. PSV would receive a big portion of the money if PSG sold him right now. This makes PSG consider temporary loan alternatives.

Simons is wanted back for another season by RB Leipzig, which is hoping to include a buyout option. Reverting to the Bundesliga appeals to Simons because of its stability. Looking to bolster their midfield, Arsenal believes Simons would be a fantastic addition to boss Mikel Arteta’s team.

Football transfers are complicated, as this case demonstrates, particularly when contracts and agreements with other teams are involved. Simons is going to carefully weigh his alternatives since he like consistency and playing time. His choice and the interest from other clubs might be influenced by his Euros performance. For the time being, PSG and Simons seem to be best served by a loan transfer.

The summer transfer plan of Arsenal was recently revealed by journalist Ben Jacobs, who concentrated on identifying Declan Rice’s ideal position. At a record £105 million, Rice joined Arsenal from West Ham United and has shown to be a flexible member of Mikel Arteta’s team. Rice has shown that he can adjust since he arrived, playing both as a deep-lying midfielder and in a more advanced capacity.

Arsenal wants to know whether Rice will be a “number six” or a “number eight” player mainly. Their transfer efforts would be shaped by this choice. The administration of Arsenal needs clarification on this matter before making any further acquisitions.

Rice thrived in his first season at Arsenal, contributing double figures in goals for the first time in his career. His seven goals and eight assists added out to fifteen direct goal involvements. His total for the previous three seasons at West Ham was surpassed by this one. Arsenal made a big investment in him because of his versatility, but now they need to define his main function in order to make their transfer plans.
