Arsenal Will Sell One Of Their Most Important Player For Just £30m

Defensive midfielder Thomas Partey will be sold by Arsenal for £30 million. Arab clubs are very interested in this move. Arsenal should seize the opportunity as Partey’s contract expires in a year, particularly from Saudi Arabian teams who are said to be eager to give him a big contract. Partey’s agents have already been in talks with representatives of these teams to try to talk him out of playing European football.

Injury has plagued Thomas Partey’s career at Arsenal. High hopes for him when he first came have been dashed by a string of injuries. Partey has shown his ability when he is healthy, but they have been few. His fitness  problems have prevented him from being a regular member of the squad. It has irritated both the management and the supporters.

Partey’s injury-related inconsistent play has affected Arsenal’s midfield stability. In good form, he offers power, vision, and defensive consistency. But his regular absences have had the squad constantly adapt, which has sometimes upset their flow. This probably played a part in Arsenal’s decision to release him now rather than run the danger of losing him for free when his contract expires.

Business-wise, Arsenal should make this move. Selling Partey now lets them recuperate a substantial transfer fee and put it back into the team. Arsenal is sure the transaction will close without any problems because of the Saudi Arabian teams’ financial strength. Then, with this money, fresh talent may be brought in, ideally someone who can provide the consistency that Partey has, regrettably, lacked.

Still, there are hazards associated with this choice. Should Partey maintain his fitness, his absence might create a difficult-to-fill void in the midfield. Arsenal has to make sure they have a clear strategy in place to replace him with a player whose on-field skills either equal or surpass his. Partey’s caliber is hard to replace at a fair price, and the transfer market may be erratic.

What more?

I consider Arsenal’s action to be pragmatist. Unquestionably talented, Partey has a long history of injuries. A team like Arsenal, which wants to succeed in Europe and regularly place in the top four, requires dependable players. With the danger of harm always there, Partey’s presence may impede their development. Arsenal can utilize the money from his sale now to bring in a player who will hopefully provide more consistency and support the team’s long-term objectives.

The increasing attraction of the Middle Eastern football landscape is reflected in the attention shown by Saudi Arabian teams. Partey may profit financially from these teams’ readiness to make large investments in order to draw in big stars. Moving to Saudi Arabia may provide Partey a new beginning and the opportunity to rekindle his career away from the demands of European football.
