Must Read!! The Problem That Chelsea Star Diego Costa Now Faces

When Will The Issue Be Resolved?

Chelsea outcast Diego Costa is currently at a crossroads in London. The Spanish forward is in a Chelsea exile after reports of him emerged that he would not play for the club again. The former Atletico Madrid man has not been training with the Chelsea squad as he wanted to force an exit out of the club.

Things took a turn for the worst. Costa wanted to reunite with ex-manager Diego Simeone at Atletico Madrid during this transfer window but with the transfer ban cast on the La Liga side, Madrid were unable to do business and will continue to be held until January.

Costa is in his native Brazil at the moment after Chelsea manager Antonio Conte claimed that he did not want to include the attacker in his future plans at the club. And with the transfer window now shut, Costa finds himself stuck with the Premier League Champions.

There were suitors who were interested in the recruitment for Costa, but Chelsea demanded a higher price for his transfer, which never took place. At 28, Costa is between the peaks of his footballing career but doesn’t want to play for Chelsea. He is refusing to train with the club’s U-23’s, but that may eventually change in a while.

With Conte having an underwhelming transfer window at Chelsea, the Italian manager may be forced to bring back Costa back into the team, due to lack of quality in attack.

Chelsea just has Alvaro Morata as the sole renowned striker at the club and an injury to the former Real Madrid man could force Costa back into action.

Even Atletico Madrid are urging Costa to train along with the Chelsea squad, as the season has already begun and the transfer window has shut.

The 28-year-old forward joined Chelsea in 2014 and has scored 52 goals in 89 appearances in the Premier League. He has also been top-scorer for the club on each season helping them clinch the league title twice in three years including a League cup.

Chelsea’s Title To Lose?

The champions of England have done really well in the recently concluded transfer window and it will be their own title to lose. They have added more quality to their back-line, the midfield and also more attacking options up front, despite losing out on quite a few initial targets that the Italian manager had in his mind.

Conte would be rather pleased at the way that things have eventually worked out for him and his team and if they play like they did last term, they will surely be a threat not just in the league but the Champions League as well.

Cup competitions will also be a focus for the former Juve manager, who took his team to the FA Cup final as well, last term, though they were beaten on the day by the Gunners.
