This Arsenal Star Has Agreed Personal Terms With Marseille

Arsenal: Eddie Nketiah seems suited for a possible transfer to Olympique Marseille. Although personal terms are already in place, the move may not be simple. Coming up from the Gunners’ levels and joining the first squad in 2019, Nketiah hasn’t been consistent starting player. A brief loan at Leeds United had not much effect on his course. Though highly regarded, he mostly serves as a backup under Mikel Arteta.

Nketiah participated in 37 games last season but only logged fewer than 1,400 minutes on the field. Though he has some outstanding performance, he doesn’t look likely to be the first-choice striker very soon. Nketiah is looking for more consistent playing and finds the trip to Marseilles appealing.

Marseille wants to strengthen their front line even if they have good attacking options, hence Nketiah would be a great acquisition. Mason Greenwood from Manchester United was just recruited by them, and they think Nketiah may improve their attack further. Although they have agreed on personal terms with Nketiah, talks with Arsenal remain difficult.

With prospective deals for Emile Smith Rowe and Reiss Nelson on the horizon, Nketiah still has three years remaining on his Arsenal contract and the club isn’t rushing to let him leave. Arsenal has placed Nketiah’s asking price at £50 million quite high. Marseille is reluctant to satisfy this demand, however. Arsenal’s position is strong; they want a more amount than AS Monaco paid for Folarin Balgyn last summer.

Conversations among the clubs keep on as they seek for common ground. From Arsenal’s point of view, it makes logical to maintain Nketiah until the price is suitable. The club has a good team, hence losing Nketiah without enough pay might be a blow.

Arsenal supporters would consider this to be a pivotal point. Although Nketiah hasn’t taken front stage, his potential is still great. The club’s strong attitude on his appraisal demonstrates their conviction of his value. Whether Marseille satisfies Arsenal’s requirements determines ultimately whether Nketiah stays or leaves. Should they not, Nketiah may still be useful for Arsenal in their next campaign.

Reiss Nelson is someone Leicester City wants on loan this summer. Reiss, a 24-year-old striker from Arsenal, is under observation as the recently promoted Premier League team wants to strengthen its lineup. Renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano sparked this curiosity.

Reiss Nelson’s stay at the Gunners hasn’t been perfect. He battled to establish his position in the first squad even though he started as a teen. His most noteworthy tenure was loan to TSG Hoffenheim. Mostly off the bench, he scored eight goals and gave nine assists in over one hundred Gunner appearances. Given the open transfer window, this performance puts his future with the Emirates dubious.

Among Premier League teams, Nelson is under observation by West Ham United, Crystal Palace, and Fulham. Still, Leicester City seems to be leading. They would want a loan with a required purchase clause. Nelson is a good choice as the Foxes, under budgetary restrictions, are concentrating on affordable squad construction.
