Sepp van den Berg has drawn attention from TSG Hoffenheim, who are now interacting with his delegates. Though Hoffenheim has not yet started official talks with Liverpool, the team obviously is intrigued. Given van den Berg’s outstanding performance during his most recent loan term, this is not surprising. Van den Berg proved his ability while on loan at FSV Mainz last season, earning 33 league games and establishing himself as among the Bundesliga’s most promising defenders. Still, he has battled to gain a position at Liverpool since leaving PEC Zwolle. His arrival at Anfield initially caused much enthusiasm, but it has faded and he has found it difficult to into the first team.
TSG Hoffenheim Want This Liverpool Star
Liverpool has established a price of €20 million and is ready to sell van den Berg. Re-signing him permanently interests FSV Mainz, although they are cautious to pay Liverpool’s asking price. The involvement of Hoffenheim gives the matter fresh perspective. Although they have started conversations with van den Berg’s side, official negotiations with Liverpool are yet to start.
Arne Slot, Liverpool’s new manager, could have given van den Berg a second chance, but Jarell Quansah’s arrival has further muddled his destiny. Quansah’s performances and potential have made him a major player in Liverpool’s defensive strategies; van den Berg has few possibilities to rebuild himself at Anfield.
Liverpool is in a great position to negotiate given the rising interest from Bundesliga teams. Based on their interaction with van den Berg, Hoffenheim seems to recognize his abilities. Still to be seen is if they are ready to pay Liverpool’s asking price.
Sepp van den Berg had obvious promise, but his tenure at Liverpool was beset by difficulties. His latest performance in Germany reveals his great degree of performance capability. The fact that Hoffenheim is interested shows his aptitude; a change may provide him the stability and chances he needs to flourish. The fact that Liverpool is ready to sell and the rising interest from Bundesliga teams point to the 22-year-old maybe finding a new residence where he can really blossom.

Maybe Fulham and Emile Smith Rowe will reach a deal shortly. Fulham has almost signed the 23-year-old Arsenal player, claims David Ornstein of The Athletic. This has been building and now it seems they have figured out how to get him to Craven Cottage. According to several sources, Arsenal intended to retain Smith Rowe a few days ago; Mikel Arteta included him into his plans. But Ornstein’s most recent update indicates differently. Fulham and the Gunners apparently are almost at an agreement.
Smith Rowe has been on Arsenal’s periphery of first team. Although he had a fantastic season in 2021/22, Arsenal’s development surge drove him to the side with injuries. Arteta believes in him, but he hasn’t been able to retake his place. Arsenal turned down Fulham’s offer earlier, but now they look almost in agreement on a £35 million transfer. This would be in line with Arsenal’s 2017 record departing transfer cost established by Alex Oxlade-Chamber’s choice to Liverpool.
