World Class Player Wants Only Arsenal

Top players now find Arsenal a magnet, a change that seemed unlikely a few years ago. The Gunners had a bad run after Arsene Wenger’s leaving. Unai Emery’s stint was awful, and Mikel Arteta’s early years were not exactly stroll in the park either. Still, Arsenal has become somewhat well-known again in the previous two seasons.

World Class Player Wants Only Arsenal

The club’s comeback has attracted great talent to them. Arsenal was selected by Riccardo Calafiori over Real Madrid; now another elite talent has indicated his want to join the Gunners. The world-class midfielder Mikel Merino makes it quite clear he wants to go to North London.

Arsenal badly needs a new midfielder. Albert Sambi Lokonga is on loan; Mohamed Elneny and Emile Smith Rowe have departed; Thomas Partey is unreliable due to his ailments. Now let me introduce Mikel Merino. Arsenal believes he would be ideal to strengthen their midfield.

Renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano has informed his readers about the matter. Arsenal is “pretty, really close” in terms of sealing Merino’s move, he said Merino obviously wants to be part of Arsenal. Signing his allegiance to Arteta’s vision, he stopped talks with Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.

Romano said that for Merino, Arsenal and Real Sociedad almost agreed on a €30 million deal. Though the structure and payment conditions of the transaction are still under work, development is constant. The market plan of Arsenal this summer gives a new left-back and midfielder first priority. Calafiori and Merino closes the gaps.

Now focus moves to other roles. Arsenal may yet bring a winger and striker. Victor Osimhen has signed personal terms with PSG, but Arsenal has also agreed to pay Napoli’s asking price. Another objective is Dominic Solanke, however Tottenham also shows interest. Arsenal is keeping Pedro Neto and Eberechi Eze under observation for wide players.

Arsenal’s revived reputation helps them to attract quality players. Thanks mostly to Arteta’s vision and the team’s recent achievements, the club has become a sought-after venue. Arsenal may establish once again their position among Europe’s top by securing Merino and adding additional quality players.

For Manchester City’s Julian Alvarez, next week is looking to be very crucial. Joining the team from River Plate for £14m in January 2022, the Argentine attacker is considering his choices given Arsenal’s growing interest. With 36 goals and 18 assists in 103 games, Alvarez—who has sometimes lagged behind Erling Haaland—bustles. Reports indicate Alvarez, among three players disgruntled under Pep Guardiola, is becoming more dissatisfied at the Etihad. Arsenal is on great alert due to this turbulence as they are thinking about moving for the 24-year-old. Additionally carefully watching the matter are Atlaco Madrid and PSG.

Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano has underlined the importance of the next week. Romano noted in his Daily Briefing piece the stressful surroundings Alvarez’s predicament at Manchester City generates. Romano claims that Manchester City and the forward’s agent want to meet after the Olympics to go over his future. The result of this conference may be rather important in deciding Alvarez’s course of action.

Romano also pointed out Alvarez has not promised to remain at City for the next season. From June, his agency has been in contact with PSG and Atletico Madrid investigating possible prospects. The discussion scheduled for next week will center on the player’s price as well as City’s acceptance of bids. Clubs like PSG and Arsenal will select their future actions once these specifics are apparent.
