Arsenal Now Wants To Sign £65m Premier League Striker Instead Of Gyokeres

To support their offense this summer, Arsenal is looking for a Premier League champion. Side operations of Mikel Arteta follow a one-in, one-out approach. Riccardo Calafiori has been brought in and they are waiting for player sales to make further actions. Their first summer sale, the Gunners sold Emile Smith Rowe for £34 million. Next they want to sell Eddie Nketiah and Reiss Nelson. Nelson is looking for a fresh challenge and draws attention from other Premier League teams; Nketiah has a £30 million price tag.

Arsenal Now Wants To Sign £65m Premier League Striker Instead Of Gyokeres

Arsenal seeks 19-goal scorer Dominic Solanke, who enjoyed an outstanding season with Bournemouth. Former Chelsea player Solanke made up the 2016/2017 title-winning team. With a £65 million release clause, his contract with Bournemouth runs three more years.

According to reports, Arsenal resorted to Solanke after declining to pay for Viktor Gyokeres of Sporting CP. Although Solanke is not wanted sold by Bournemouth, his release clause allows a transfer to be made. Solanke may be less expensive than either Gyokeres or Victor Osimhen, both connected to the Gunners.

Does Solanke suit Arsenal the best? Although his recent form shows promise, his capacity to produce regularly at a major club remains under doubt. To challenge for the Premier League championship, Arsenal needs a dependable striker. Although Solanke’s Premier League experience might be useful, his performance at Bournemouth does not ensure the same influence at Arsenal.

Gyokeres and Osimhen have somewhat diverse features in contrast. Gyokeres is physically powerful and aggressive; Osimhen offers speed and goal-scoring ability. Solanke’s benefit is his English football experience; Arsenal has to ask if he can match his Bournemouth form at a higher level.

Arsenal has to make a very important choice. They need a constantly delivering attacker. Although Solanke’s possible action might pay off, it is a risk. Arsenal’s aspirations call for a proven goal-scorer, and Solanke’s past points to him maybe being such player, but only time will tell.

Top players now find Arsenal a magnet, a change that seemed unlikely a few years ago. The Gunners had a bad run after Arsene Wenger’s leaving. Unai Emery’s stint was awful, and Mikel Arteta’s early years were not exactly stroll in the park either. Still, Arsenal has become somewhat well-known again in the previous two seasons.

The club’s comeback has attracted great talent to them. The Gunners were selected by Riccardo Calafiori over Real Madrid; now another elite talent has indicated his want to join the Gunners. The world-class midfielder Mikel Merino makes it quite clear he wants to go to North London.

Arsenal badly needs a new midfielder. Albert Sambi Lokonga is on loan; Mohamed Elneny and Emile Smith Rowe have departed; Thomas Partey is unreliable due to his ailments. Now let me introduce Mikel Merino. Arsenal believes he would be ideal to strengthen their midfield.

Renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano has informed his readers about the matter. Arsenal is “pretty, really close” in terms of sealing Merino’s move, he said Merino obviously wants to be part of Arsenal. Signing his allegiance to Arteta’s vision, he stopped talks with Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.
