25 Year Old Arsenal Player Is Now Wanted By Everton

Eddie Nketiah from Arsenal is under late consideration for Everton as they hunt a striker before the summer transfer window ends. The 25-year-old England international appeals to the Toffees as a possible offensive fix. Given Nketiah’s possible relocation to Marseille falls through, a change within the Premier League suddenly looks more plausible.

Nketiah has had a mixed bag of experiences at Arsenal. Benefiting from Gabriel Jesus’s ailments, he began the 2023/24 season well but his form suffered in the latter half of the season. He made 37 games overall but only managed six goals and three assists. His low 1,500 minute playing time illustrates his difficulties finding a regular place on Mikel Arteta’s roster.

With personal agreements apparently in place, the homegrown striker seemed close to joining Marseille early this summer. The agreement collapsed, however, therefore casting doubt on Nketiah’s future. Everton has now been a possible destination especially considering their want for a consistent striker. Nketiah’s Premier League experience makes Dominic Calvert-Lewin an appealing prospect for the Merseyside team given his injury problems and Beto’s dubious future.

Bringing in a guy like Nketiah might provide Everton the attack department’s needed boost. Arsenal is not likely to let him leave, however, until their value is satisfied. Unless a team like Everton makes a convincing offer, the Gunners could choose to retain Nketiah.

Nketiah must make a crucial choice at last. While moving to Everton gives the possibility to become a major player, staying at Arsenal may mean another season of restricted possibilities. Should Everton be serious, this may be a wise action for both team and individual.

Liverpool apparently is poised to activate the €60 million release clause for Real Sociedad’s midfielder Martin Zubimendi. The Reds appear keen to get him to Anfield, an action that would upend the Premier League. After making a name for himself in Real Sociedad’s first squad, Zubimendi has drawn interest from other major teams such Arsenal and Barcelona. Still, none of these teams was able to entice him away from his present squad during the summer transfer season.

Currently 25, Zubimendi has played over 200 Real Sociedad games, with eight goals and seven assists. Top teams all across Europe have taken notice of him as his constant performance makes him one of La Liga’s best midfield players. Dealing with uncertainty over Thomas Partey’s future, Arsenal considered Zubimendi as a possible successor but the player showed no desire to go to North London.

Barcelona also named Zubimendi as a target, particularly after Sergio Busquets’s difficulty finding replacement. Though the Catalan team saw him as a major addition to their midfield, the €60 million price tag proved too costly for them. Barcelona’s inability to reach the asking price let other bidders in the door; Liverpool is currently leading the race.

After separating with Thiago Alcantara, Liverpool’s want for a midfielder became critical. For what they need—a powerful, dependable presence in the heart of the park— Zubimendi fits. According to reports, the Spanish overseas is receptive to the relocation, which might be the element driving this transaction over the edge.
