Liverpool are ready to pay £40 million for Bournemouth player

Liverpool are already moving decisively in the market. As the summer approaches, the Anfield club have turned their attention to an area that needs urgent attention: left-back. Although Andy Robertson has been a key player for years, doubts over his future are forcing the club to act. In that context, Milos Kerkez has emerged as the man of choice. The Bournemouth youngster has impressed this season, and the Liverpool board believe he would be a perfect fit for the team’s next season under Arne Slot. The move is a priority, and they do not want to waste any time.

Liverpool believe they can close the deal for Milos Kerkez this summer. The club have followed his development at Bournemouth closely and believe he is the best left-back available. The 21-year-old Kerkez has played in all 35 Premier League games this season, completing every one since November. His performances have been consistent and he has directly contributed to Bournemouth’s stay in the European places.

Liverpool are ready to pay £40 million for Milos Kerkez

Former Manchester United chief scout Mick Brown himself has claimed that Liverpool are planning to pay the £40m the south coast club are asking for. Football Insider’s Pete O’Rourke has said that Kerkez is Arne Slot’s number one target. Behind the interest is also the fact that Robertson could leave the club in the coming weeks. Slot has already reportedly communicated his desire for a new left-back, and the Hungarian meets all the physical and tactical requirements of the Premier League winning manager this season. Liverpool have already started the internal work to pave the way and are hopeful that the player will be willing to arrive at Anfield this summer.

From the club’s point of view, going for Kerkez makes sense. He is young, plays with intensity and knows the Premier League inside out. Paying 40 million seems reasonable considering his age, physical ability and potential. If Robertson doesn’t continue, they need someone reliable from day one. The fact that the left-back has been a consistent starter at Bournemouth indicates he is ready for a more demanding jump. Liverpool can’t afford to be short at full-back again.

In Arne Slot’s scheme, Kerkez can play a marked role, as the Dutch manager is asking for aggressive full-backs who go forward and help generate superiority in attack. Kerkez has already shown that ability with Bournemouth. His pace, off-the-ball movement and ability to hold up all game would suit a system that needs young legs. If Slot wants to build from the back with pressure and mobility, the Hungarian could become a key player from the start.
