Liverpool plot an ambitious swap move for this 18-year-old talent valued at €70m

Liverpool launch ambitious bid for Lille starlet Ayyoub Bouaddi

Anfield is buzzing. Andoni Iraola wants a new engine room, and he wants it now. Reports coming out of France suggest Liverpool have kicked off serious talks with Lille for their teenage sensation, Ayyoub Bouaddi.

The 18-year-old Moroccan international has just set the 2026 World Cup alight. He dominated. He ran games. Now, Europe’s elite are circling. Fabrizio Romano dropped a trademark update confirming high-level talks between Merseyside chiefs and Bouaddi’s camp to thrash out the numbers.

The Harvey Elliott twist

Here is the kicker. English market prices are absurd right now. Domestic targets cost upwards of £60m, driving Liverpool to think outside the box. They are floating a cheeky player-plus-cash deal, offering Harvey Elliott as a massive makeweight to sweeten the pot for Les Dogues.

Lille hold all the cards, though. The youngster is tied down until 2028, and they want over €70m, especially after Bouaddi completely pocketed Brazil’s midfield on the world stage. Arsenal, Chelsea, and PSG are watching closely. Offering Elliott, a proven Premier League operator, gives Lille an instant replacement. It makes sense on paper.

Let’s get real. This swap deal is dead in the water.

Elliott to France? No chance. He loves the club. The fans adore him. More importantly, his versatility is vital for Iraola’s tactical blueprint this season. You don’t just bin off a 23-year-old English playmaker who provides that much depth.

Expect Liverpool to pivot. They will have to return with a straight cash bid or heavily structured add-ons because forcing Elliott out against his will is a non-starter.

Done Deal? Liverpool Are Leading The Race For €40M Winger

Time is ticking. Arsenal have already locked in meetings with the kid’s representatives for right after the World Cup final whistle. That puts the Gunners ahead in the queue. Then you have PSG, who don’t need accounting gymnastics to clear their throat and pay up. Bouaddi wants guaranteed minutes at the absolute highest level, and a standard, old-school bidding war is coming.
