Will This Deal Change The Face Of Manchester United’s Midfield Forever?

Jose Mourinho

After hijacking the star Chilean Alexis Sanchez from rivals Man City, the Red Devils are plotting another sensational move of another Chilean! This time Mourinho is targeting to strengthen the midfield i guess! A summer window may witness  Bayern Munich’s midfielder Arturo Vidal transfer to Old Trafford!

The Portuguese manager is reported to be concerned about his lack of options in the centre of the pitch and has lined up Vidal to boost up his resources.

Vidal’s current contract with the Bavarian club runs until 2019 but Manchester United are confident they can prise him away, particularly given that the German champions have signed Leon Goretzka.

There is potential chance for a redecoration of the midfield next season for Mourinho as a number of players facing uncertain futures.

Michael Carrick has suffered with a heart condition, Marouane Fellaini has not signed a new deal and Ander Herrera has also been linked with a move away.

After £89m on Paul Pogba and £40m on Nemanja Matic, Vidal would be another high profile addition with £50m, according to the report.

At 30 years of life, Vidal is unlikely to command an astronomical fee and no doubt compatriot Alexis Sanchez would be a plus point to facilitate this move.

According to Bayern manager Jupp Heynckes,Vidal’s future will be decided in the summer.
Though Mourinho is looking for players with experience and proven experience, where Vidal would certainly fit the bill having starred for Juventus, Bayern and his national team.

United are hopeful Vidal can act as a laxative to squash out the best out of Sanchez and Paul Pogba.

Louis Van Gaal also tried to sign this Chilean midfielder back in his era in United. It is rumoured that Chelsea are also reported to be interested, though still a question mark hanging over Antonio Conte’s future. The Italian manager enjoyed a successful and cherishful relationship with Vidal at Juventus and a reunion would be a delicacy.

United have also upped their interest in Borussia Dortmund duo Christian Pulisic and Julian Weigl. On the other hand, Pulisic has a high chance to reunite with Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.

Though United also has never lost their hope as they have sent scouts to watch both him and Dortmund team-mate Weigl in action.

Carrick’s future at Old Trafford is also uncertain. It was confirmed last month the 36-year-old will leave in the summer and likely take up a role in Jose Mourinho’s coaching team.

Napoli star Jorginho can be also the man who may come at Old Trafford next summer.  The 20-time league champions haven’t yet lost their interest in Gareth Bale and Antoine Griezmann.

Manchester United are now at second place in the English Premier League points table, where they are 13 points behind the leader and their arch rivals Manchester City. Alexis Sanchez has already showed his class in the red jersey and it seems this sighing may help the Red Devils to steer their wheels in the Champions League. They are gonna face Sevilla in round of sixteen there.
