This Manchester City Player Is Better Than Most Legends Of Manchester United?

Manchester City

When it comes to dominate the midfield and assisting in team’s fortune, this Premier League guy is unstoppable and invincible to some extent. This Belgian guy have been pushing the English side since his joining back in 2015. They won the League Cup that season and are undoubtedly going to clinch the league title this season. Kevin De Bruyne is that piece of Guardiola’s side, who can change the course of game anytime and anywhere.

11 goals and 18 assists for Manchester City this season, De Bruyne is looking like one of the golden ace in the World Cup campaign for Belgium. After achieving many records in Bundesliga, it is the time, he would gear up for the Premier League. He was the top assist provider last season and this time he is leading the race to be the PFA Player of the Year.

De Bruyne got admiration from all over the world and Manchester United star Michael Owen thinks he has already surpassed legends Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs and David Beckham.

He thinks he is a complete player and can challenge any of those legends with his all round midfielder performances. In a recent interview, he ranked him as in the order of: ‘De Bruyne, Scholes, Giggs, Beckham’.

According to Owen, Beckham was a pure striker of the ball and mastered a great whip on  dead balls, but De Bruyne has that long range fizz as well. Though Beckham had the vision of a good pass, but the 26-year-old Belgian owes something more than a ‘good vision’.

Owen who played along Beckham, Scholes and Giggs for club or country, admits that Scholes had the long range ping in his locker like Beckham or Scholes, but had unbelievable vision.

Guardiola has always tried to isolate his men from the discussion of illogical comparisons. But he also believes that, De Bruyne has got the potential to challenge the personalities like Messi and Ronaldo and can earn the title of Ballon d’Or this season, if Manchester City can win the Champions League. The former Barcelona coach exclaimed that, he is not playing this supreme game for one or half day, he has been consistent throughout the season, every three days – playing that way. The way he’s played, it’s difficult to find a player like him in Europe.

Bernardo Silva, who does the supporting job alongside De Bruyne also praised his team mate after another destructive display in City’s 4-0 win against Basel on Tuesday. He said that Kevin sees what other players are not able to and added that he is probably one of the best player in earth now.

Manchester City leads the Premier League with a hefty sixteen points lead from the second positioned arch rival Manchester United. Though they have witnessed a shameful defeat in the FA cup against Wigan, they are one of the forces who are looking invincible in the Champions League this season. They are gonna face Arsenal up next in the Carabao Cup and will face Chelsea at the beginning of March.
