Will These Changes Be The Difference Maker Between Manchester United And Sevilla This Time Round?

Manchester United will face Sevilla in the second leg of round of 16 in Champions League. Both teams will be keen to go through to the next round. Manchester United emerged victorious against Liverpool with a margin of 2-1 at Old Trafford on Saturday in the Premier League. With this win, Manchester United remained at the second position in the League Table. Manchester United have collected 65 points in 30 matches so far and Liverpool have now collected 60 Points in the same number of matches played.

With this positive result against one of the top sides in the English Football, Jose Mourinho will be confident to finish at the top four positions in the League Table at the end of the season. It will be enough for them to qualify for the UEFA Champions League next season, the biggest event of European Football. With the management of Jose Mourinho, Manchester United are trying to regain their previous glorious days back. Now in the next season their main target will be winning UEFA Champions League by defeating all other top European clubs to win the title next season.

It was seeming that the good old days had finally come at Old Trafford. But Eric Bailly’s own goal in the second half had made the match look very intense. Adam Lallana was brought in for Alex Oxlade Chamberlain to bring some hope of getting the equaliser. Somehow, Liverpool were not playing their best football. Their attacks were not looking so much threatening as it looked like in the match against Manchester City. 6 minutes of extra time was added after the completion of 90 minutes; but Manchester United were able to see that time out. Their defenders were looking solid at the back and it had resulted to a win for Manchester United against Liverpool with a margin of 2-1 at the end. Manchester United will now face Sevilla in the second leg of round of 16 clash in UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.

Team News :

Manchester United :

De Gea will surely start as the United goalkeeper. Valencia, Smalling, Lindelof and Young will be there in the defense for United while McTominay, Matic and Pogba are playing in the midfield for them. Lukaku, Lingard and Sanchez will be there in the upfront for Red Devils against Sevilla.

Sevilla :

Sevilla will miss the service of Daniel Carrico and Nicolas Pareja in this match against Manchester United. Sebastien Corchia is also doubtful for Sevilla in this match after receiving an injury in the match against Celta Vigo in the previous weekend in La Liga.

Rico will play in the Sevilla goal in this match while Escudero, Kjaer,  Lenglet and Geis were in the defense for them. N’Zonzi, Pizarro, Banega and Navas will be in the midfield for Sevilla in the match against Manchester United while Ben-Yedder and Correa will lead the forward line of Sevilla from the upfront.
