As the Spanish League just ended and Barcelona has been crowned the La Liga champions, the transfer rumours for the next season has just got hyped. The man in the centre, Ousmane Dembele who may leave Camp Nou after his debut year and yes, it can take happen. According to the Spanish media, Barcelona is trying to offload the French winger as soon as possible as they have recognised that his time with Barca has been such a disaster and Dembele is not such Barca material. Dembele was a star player at Borussia Dortmund and seems like he could make it even bigger at the right club and under the right manager, though unfortunately it’s never quite looked like he is the right fit for Barcelona. The 21-year-old failed to impress in his debut season at Camp Nou and he can be sold to fund the signing of Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid. According to the Spanish media, former Liverpool attacker Philippe Coutinho has also revealed the fact that the Catalans may set him off this summer. The Frenchman joined the Spanish League champions last summer in a deal valued near about £135.5m from Borussia Dortmund.
The winger appeared just 29 times and scored five goals and six assists this season in total, but his first term was plagued by injuries. He is undoubtedly a potential winger, strong in through balls and dribbling, but somehow never clicked in Barca midfield. However, the Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has expressed interest in signing the youngster potential as Sadio Mane may leave Anfield this summer. The German manager has completely expressed his desires to sign the young talent if he stays available. The Spanish League giants are reportedly willing to accept a price of €100m (£87.5m) for the winger though they signed him for more last year. Klopp’s men are already in the final of Champions League and the coach is planning to bring new faces to challenge the almighty Manchester City for the Premier League title.
Liverpool will face the defending champions Real Madrid in the final of this year’s UEFA top tier club competition in Kiev and they will be hoping to win their first title since 2005. Reports are also suggesting that Dembele may be offered to swap Hector Bellerin from Arsenal, who is of course another La Masia product. It was the last match being a cule of the Barca aka Spanish legend Andre Iniesta. Not only the Catalans but the whole world showed respects and gratitude for what he has given to the sport called Football. It was a rumbling ocean of emotions out flowing at Camp Nou last night. No one could simply accept that the world cup winning goal scorer of their country will not play again in Spain (though he is in World Cup squad). Iniesta is joining Chinese League and exits the stadium by handing over the arm band to his fellow Leo Messi. Only Messi, Busquets and Pique left in the Golden Squad of Barcelona, where the others are already departed. Time changes. Nothing lasts forever, but what remains is memory. Gracias Iniesta.
