Chelsea are going to compete with Barcelona to sign the Juventus star midfielder Miralem Pjanic in this summer transfer window. Barcelona are looking to ensure the service of Miralem Pjanic in the next season as the perfect replacement of Andres Iniesta. The 28 year old Bosnia and Herzegovina International has performed really well in the previous season for Juventus. Pjanic has scored 5 goals and assisted in other 8 goals for Juventus in Serie A in the previous season.

Miralem Pjanic can play in every positions in the midfield. He prefers to play in the central midfield position; but he can also be deployed in more defensive role for the sake of his side. Pjanic was also an integral part of Juventus’ squad in their triumph in Serie A in the previous season. The midfield consisting of Miralem Pjanic, Sami Khedira and Blaise Matuidi were one of main the reasons of Juventus’ Serie A title win. It is seeming that, the Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri is all set to take the charge of the Blues in place of Antonio Conte. It is expected that the official announcement of Sarri becoming the manager of Chelsea will be made within few days. Maurizio Sarri will wish to bring the star Serie A midfielder in London to take the Blues again on the top.

The presence of Miralem Pjanic in the midfield of Chelsea will surely give them the stability they need to maintain throughout the whole season. Chelsea have a pool of central midfielders in their squad. But none of them except N’Golo Kante has performed in the previous season. Cesc Fabregas is ageing and he is not the same kind of midfielder as of previous days. Tiemoue Bakayoko failed to adapt himself in the Premier League in the whole season. Ross Barkley was injured most of the times in the previous season. Danny Drinkwater has also not performed up to the expectation level. So, the inclusion of Miralem Pjanic will surely strengthen the squad of Chelsea in the next season. But they have to face a strong challenge from the La Liga Giants Barcelona in the summer transfer window as they will also be highly interested to sign the Juventus midfielder.

Miralem Pjanic’s presence in the much needed in this Barcelona lineup. His presence will surely give them the stability they need in the midfield.  Miralem Pjanic is one of the most consistent performers for Juventus in the previous season. So, his inclusion will surely strengthen any top European club in this summer transfer window.
