The Latest Update On Nabil Fekir’s Future, As Liverpool Look To Sign Him

It has been an excellent transfer window for the Reds. Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp seemed focus from the beginning of the window and may end on a high note in the preseason campaign. Liverpool has signed some world-class international stars like Naby Keita, Fabinho, Xherdan Shaqiri and Alisson Becker. The German manager is now rumoured to sign another midfield alternative from France. The defensive midfielder Emre Can is now no more at Anfield and Klopp may take no risk to fill the void of the German midfielder. Liverpool has been scouting Nabil Fekir for quite a long time and according to the rumours, they may bid the Frenchman this summer. Fekir was on the verge of joining Anfield though that £53m deal broke the chances at the medical stage.

The management team of Lyon has stated quite sharply that they may not let Fekir go this soon. The Frenchman had an outstanding season last time for Lyon who helped them to step in the race of the main tournament once again. It seems that the Merseyside club have settled with the outcomes regarding the midfielder.

When Klopp was asked about his status he said that they may wait for the Fekir. He also said that they have everything they needed for the next season and they may settle here with the guys they got. He also said that they have the squad for now and that’s the most important thing for them.

Liverpool were not too bad last year but they have to improve in the defensive framework to be the champions. Liverpool could have been the Champions League winner last time if they had got a little fortune. Two terrible mistakes from the German keeper ended the game for the Premier League side where their star player Mohamed Salah went out the field in first half of the game due to injury. Moreover the drama regarding Fekir isn’t over yet as his brother again gave a statement about his departure from the French side this season.

Fekir made his Lyon debut in August of 2013 and has made 152 appearances for Les Gones, scoring 57 goals. On the other hand, some rumours suggest the move of Christian Pulisic to Liverpool. The United States star is stated a long-time target for the Reds and the talks went bold after this two-goal haul in the pre-season match against Liverpool itself. Klopp is a long time admirer of the young star and may bid for him this Summer.

It was expected that Mignolet may leave from Anfield after the arrival of Alisson in Liverpool and the rumours say he may join Besiktas this time. It has been a satisfying pre-season campaign for the Reds in international champions cup. Though they started dull against Dortmund but managed to win against the two Manchester clubs.

Shaqiri scored a terrific one against United and the Swiss forward would definitely be under marks to watch for. Liverpool are definitely seeming one if the favourites this time and may end up being a champion too!
