Midfielder Sends Message To Liverpool Boss Jurgen Klopp, How Will The German Boss React Now?

The Brazilian midfielder after his great display for the Selecaos messages his Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp to take notice.

Fabinho who has joined Liverpool this year from French side Monaco is yet to make the starting eleven once in the first four matches. Klopp tends to prefer Georgio Wijnaldum over the Brazilian in first four matches but the Monaco midfielder was chosen to represent his nation in an international friendly against the United States.

It was only his fifth start for the Selecaos and that also first in last two years. The 24-year old did not miss the chance to impress his national team boss, Tite as Brazil won the match by a dominant 2-0 scoreline. The midfielder was left out by Tite in his Brazil squad which reached the quarter-finals in the World Cup in Russia. Fabinho was probably waiting for an opportunity like this to prove his mettle donning the national colours and he definitely did a great job in putting an attacking shift through the right flank.

Fabinho caused menace through the right flank and teamed up with Liverpool teammate Roberto Firmino very well as his forward-surging runs were causing trouble for the US defence. The 24-year old also drew a penalty which led to their second goal in the match which was dispatched by Neymar from the spot. Fabinho was obstructed by US defender Will Trapp as he went tumbling down past John Brooks in the US penalty area resulting in a spot kick for the five-time World Cup winners.

The 26-year old was confident with his performance for the Selecaos and feels that his Reds debut is just around the corner.

“It was straight-forward,” said Fabinho. “During the week, the training went well, the technical team know how to guide me, and I also know my team-mates it was easy to play with them.”

“At the beginning of the game you have to have patience and I tried to keep things simple to build confidence, but overall it went well.”

When asked about playing right-back, “It is not the first time it’s happened so I am used to it. I have done it a few times for my old club.”

Klopp has an extremely talented squad at his disposal, with the Reds lining up for playing in the UEFA Champions League along with their domestic cup competitions and their squad depth will be put to test. Fabinho, as the season will progress will for sure have a very crucial role for the Reds.

Klopp when asked about Fabinho delayed debut, he clearly mentioned that the Brazil international did not feature in that many preseason matches that he would have liked but now with some excellent training session he is getting to his best and he is definitely a crucial member in his squad.

The real test for the Reds will be when they go head to head against Tottenham Hotspur in Wembley on 15th September and Klopp hints that the Liverpool supporters may get to see their new Samba boy pretty soon.
