Former Chelsea Star Makes Stunning Statement on Eden Hazard’s Situation

Hazard

Ex Chelsea goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer believes that Chelsea’s talisman Eden Hazard will leave the club only if he wants to join Real Madrid. There is no denying that the Belgian ace is keen on joining the Los Blancos but the Chelsea fans will hope that Hazard remains at Stamford Bridge in the near future. Since the start of this new season, Hazard has shown the world as to why he deserves to be recognized as one of the best players in Europe at the moment. The star winger has already scored seven goals and notched up three assists so far this campaign helping his club to third place in the Premier League. Hazard also scored a sublime winner at Anfield in the League Cup to knock out the high flying Liverpool and hand Jurgen Klopp his first defeat of the season.

Hazard also fueled rumors that it would be a dream move to join La Liga giants Real Madrid sometime soon which gave Chelsea fans a slight shock considering his performances off late. The West London club is trying their best to keep Hazard tied down at Stamford Bridge for as long as possible.

The departure of Portuguese winger Cristiano Ronaldo also didn’t help Chelsea’s cause as the European champions view Hazard as the ideal replacement to the 33-year-old winger who is currently at Juventus. The Portugal international eventually did decide to leave the Bernabeu and move on with his career, though he is surely being missed now.

There is also no denying that Madrid will be plotting a winter transfer move for Hazard considering their struggles at the moment. However, as the 27-year-old Hazard is still stalling his contract extension former Blue Mark Schwarzer has revealed his opinion if Hazard will remain at the English capital or not. Speaking as a Sky Sports pundit, the 46-year-old former Australian goalkeeper said that Hazard will leave Chelsea only to play for Real Madrid, “I just do not see him going anywhere else in England I don’t think he will leave Chelsea for any other club in this country. The only club he would go to would be Real Madrid I think. He is already said about dreaming of playing there as a kid. He wanted to play in the Spanish league; he wanted to play at Real Madrid. There are only a handful of clubs who could take him away from Chelsea and one of them would be Real Madrid.”

Schwarzer though, gave Chelsea some hope for keeping Hazard as the play-maker seems to be enjoying his football at the moment, “For Chelsea, I think this one is a key season for him in terms of making his mind up. Whether he thinks I can not feel everything here, it all depends on how this season goes. The way he is performing so far, the way he is playing, he is really enjoying his football He is looking fitter and sharper than he has ever looked. I think the penny has dropped in terms of him realizing that he’s only just touching the levels he can get to. He can go so much higher but he knows he has to do the work. He is starting to realize that now. In the last couple of seasons, he is fitter, he is getting stronger, at the World Cup he was brilliant, at the start of this season he’s been brilliant. The progression for him is only upwards as long as he does the hard work”

Well, the fact of the matter is that the Belgian international has some plans on his mind and if that does included not staying at Stamford Bridge and Los Blancos are desperate to sign him, then there is no way that the Blues can retain his services. They will have to sell him and it will be interesting to see what kind of money they can make from the deal.

The La Liga giants are already struggling at present and Antonio Conte is one of the potential new managers who might take over at the Bernabeu in the days to come. If that is the case, then the star winger may opt to leave the Londoners and play for the Madrid based side.

It will be interesting to see what happens now, as the deal may or may not happen, depending on what the three parties decide amid themselves and what is the best solution to this problem.

Only time will tell, though it is no secret that Real will want to push through a deal sooner than later. They have failed to impress under manager Julen Lopetegui, who could be sacked in the days to come, with the Italian taking over.

Though the 27 year old superstar wanted to work with Zidane, he may not mind rejoining Conte at Real and can possibly help his new team win more titles in the days to come, if the deal happens now.
