All That You Need To About Liverpool’s Clash Against Chelsea At Anfield

Liverpool

Liverpool will lock their horns against Chelsea at Anfield on Saturday in the Premier League. The match is very much important for both the teams to stay in the top four positions in the Premier League. Chelsea are now at 3rd position in the League Table with 25 Points from 12 matches. They are recently in great form. They had beaten both West Brom and Qarabag FK with a margin of 4-0 in Premier League and Champions League respectively. They will be keen to win this encounter to keep pace with the league leaders Manchester City.

Liverpool are now at 5th position in the League Table with 22 Points from the same no of matches. They had drawn against Sevilla FC with a margin of 3-3 in the Champions League on Tuesday. They will be eager to win this encounter to be in the points with Chelsea. The managerial clash between Klopp and Conte will be a treat to watch in this match.

Liverpool :

Liverpool will miss the service of Joel Matip in this crucial match, along with Germany international Emre Can, who is also a doubt for this match. Nathaniel Clyne and Adam Lallana are remaining as long term absentee for Liverpool in this season.

Mignolet will play in the Liverpool goal in this match while Gomez, Klavan , Lovren and Moreno will play in the defensive line for the hosts. Coutinho, Wijnaldum and Henderson will be there in the midfield for Liverpool while Mane, Firmino and Salah will play in the attacking third for Liverpool. It is a must-win game for the Merseyside outfit.

Chelsea :

Chelsea will miss the service of Victor Moses in this match. David Luiz and Willian will probably be benched in this match against Liverpool after playing the full match against Qarabag FK in the Champions League.

Thibaut Courtois will start in Chelsea Goal in this match. Azpilicueta, Christensen and Gary Cahill are the three expected defenders to start in central defense. Zappacosta and Alonso will play in two wing-back positions. Fabregas, Kante and Bakayoko are expected to take place in the heart of the midfield while Eden Hazard and Alvaro Morata are expected to lead the Chelsea attack from the upfront.

Liverpool :(4-3-3)

Goalkeeper : Mignolet

Defenders : Gomez, Klavan , Lovren, Moreno

Midfielders : Coutinho, Wijnaldum, Henderson.

Attackers : Mane, Firmino, Salah.

Chelsea :(3-4-3)

Goalkeeper : Courtois

Defenders : Azpilicueta, Christensen, Cahill.

Midfielders : Zappacosta, Fabregas, Kante, Bakayoko, Alonso.

Attackers : Morata, Hazard.

My Predicted Scoreline :

Liverpool 1-2 Chelsea

Though the game will be played at Anfield, based on current form the Blues should have the advantage over their rivals in this match and can possibly nick it. It will surely be a tough match between the two teams, with both managers eager to win and take back all three points.

With rivals Manchester City playing on Sunday, it will be a really crucial game to watch and whichever team does win the game, will close in on the Citizens. Let’s see which manager will win this tie, with Antonio Conte going head to head against Jurgen Klopp at the Merseyside.
