It’s a BIRD. It’s a PLANE. No, it’s HDFC trying to sell you a card that will let you down when you need it the most. Being a trusting HDFC customer for the past decade, life was such a JOY. Little did I know that COVID-19 struck BANK SERVERS, as much as it hit human IMMUNE SYSTEMS (on Saturday nights post 11.59 PM).

Being a ONE BANK man isn’t safe anymore (In Mumbai, India, at least), there is a need for multiple options (insert Bank Wh*re jokes here). Problems everywhere and then they say ALL MEN ARE DOGS. Yes, we are. You want LOYALTY, give me the SERVICE I deserve and the SATISFACTION I need. Otherwise, there are always too many FISH in the SEA and you know it!!

What happens when the pack of cards falls down and there is no answer? What happens when “Google Search” fails and you have to refer to YAHOO or any other damn non-existent SEARCH BAR? The same thing that happens when HDFC servers continue to crash every SATURDAY and the PARTY had just started.

Is This A Ploy Or Is The World Ending As We Know It?

If you are out with your family for that one last dinner and drink before a lockdown, the one thing you need is a good vibe. A good sweet meal with the wife and kids and going back to your den, not knowing when the CURFEW will end.

To add to that, sitting at home on your couch watching an intriguing series and waiting for the brilliant CLIMAX to blow your mind. What does your GOOGLE PAY, PAYTM or CARD SWIPE show? SERVER UNAVAILABLE?

Being loyal to a bank that does not reciprocate those feelings is just plain and simple STUPID. Is this HDFC trying to do a free PROMO for other banks that are losing money? Or are they losing the plot?

Why Is This Happening Every Week On Saturdays?

Respecting the fact that the HDFC card (Debit or Credit) users are high in number. But, honestly, is that a real excuse for your servers to crash every weekend? For a man who had to run across 10-15 ATMs just to withdraw cash to pay a bill of a meagre 3000 (as my PAYTM and GPAY are also linked to the same back and none of the CARDS worked), when his account reflected in the bigger numbers with a decent amount of “0”s, it was distasteful as hell!!

Even the employees at your ATMs wondered what had happened? Was this another bank going bankrupt (when it hit the first time)? Or was it another scam of some BIG SHOT, who had run away with a bounty of CASH?

Time has passed. Weeks into months and still the server keeps crashing. What are you? A cheap local BLOG? If this continues to happen, though I still love “MY BANK”, the thought of carrying cash constantly is quite frustrating. Further, it pushes the customer to find an alternative.

DEAR HDFC, you are not RELIABLE anymore. You are the VIRAT KOHLI of Indian Cricket now. It’s good to have you in the TEAM but you ain’t worth being the SKIPPER anymore, not in the SHORT RUN at least. GO FIGURE!!
