FC Barcelona means serious business. The team from Catalonia is trying to push for deals. They are keen on adding more quality to their squad while reducing the wage bill. With that being said, a lot of players are linked with a move to the Nou Camp. The players linked with them are ideally younger and lower-waged stars, in either swap deals or cheap buys.

That is the situation that the club is in at present and are trying to save money. Keeping that in mind, a few deals were being talked about in the last few weeks. However, some of them did not go through, like the swap deal with Atletico Madrid for Griezmann and Saul.

Which Is The New Swap Deal That Barcelona Is Trying To Get Done Now; Will The Player Be Actually Leaving?

Antoine Griezmann has not lived up to the hype and the expectations of the Barcelona fans so far. His move from the reigning champions of Spain has not done anything substantial for his current team.

Barcelona attempt Griezmann swap deal with Man City

Though the move was really talked about back then, his place in the team is not secured. He has seen his ups and downs at Barca. However, with the new manager coming in, his time at the club may be all but over now.

The club wants him gone. Ronald Koeman has no interest in keeping him as well, with the addition of Sergio Aguero and Memphis Depay. With that being said, Barca is just eager to get rid of him. They are pushing for his exit and now, another transfer proposal has popped up in the media.

The new swap deal consists of Griezmann moving to Juventus, with another Argentine Paulo Dybala moving the other way. This could be a great deal for the fans of the attacker, who plays for Argentina. Lionel Messi too has a good bonding with the Juve man. All these factors could help Barca in securing a deal for the player.

What Could Be The Major Problem In Getting This Deal Done; As Barca Look To Offload The Player?

The only major concern could be the wages of the players. Griezmann has really high wages at Barcelona. The player irked one of the club’s main sponsors, Rakuten. That was after a video of him and Ousmane Dembele was posted, mocking Japanese hotel workers.

The Japan-based company wants some concrete actions from Barca. Their partnership renewal with the club is in jeopardy at present. Griezmann may have to leave to pacify both Rakuten and Konami, who are two Japan-based club partners. With that being said, the player’s best option is to go to Italy and get away from the drama.

That being said, there is still no certainty on the deal going through. The fans may want him gone but it also depends on the player. Griezmann is still an asset that Barcelona can try selling, though not a lot of clubs want to spend big money on signing him. Also, his wages are also still a major problem in getting rid of him. Hopefully, things get sorted out soon.
