According to the latest reports, La Liga giants Barcelona are keen to sign Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford in the upcoming summer transfer window in order to replace the ageing Luis Suarez. The 21-year-old English forward has been racking up stellar performances this season and has proved that he can be a man for the big games and Barcelona are now planning a mammoth £100 million deal to lure Rashford to the Camp Nou.

Ever since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took charge of Manchester United back in December, he has turned the fortunes of the club and brought smiles back on the faces of the United faithful. The Norwegian inherited the club from his predecessor Jose Mourinho, who had left the club in quite a mess after the initial few months of the new season. But Solskjaer seems to be getting the best out of his players and the team as a whole in the best possible manner. The Red Devils completed a dramatic comeback against Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain in the Champions League and made it to the quarter-finals, where they were knocked out by Catalan giants Barcelona. A string of positive results in the Premier League has also put Manchester United in contention to finish inside the top four of the Premier League table. This impressive run of games made United believe that Solskjaer was the right man for the job and handed him a permanent deal.

Barcelona proved too good for Manchester United in their quarter-final.

The results have not gone Solskjaer’s way over the past two weeks after defeats against Wolves and Barcelona. Although this weekend, two Paul Pogba penalties overshadowed a weak United performance and helped them get three points against West Ham United. But the second leg of the Champions League at the Camp Nou awaits on Tuesday night. The Spanish side took a 1-0 advantage against the English outfit at Old Trafford in the first leg of the quarter-final tie. And what’s worse is that the Catalonians are now preparing a bid for United’s young sensation in the summer.

Recent reports claim that the La Liga table toppers are planning a £100 million swoop to sign Marcus Rashford in the summer transfer window in order to bolster their attack even further. Rashford’s outings have improved tremendously since he switched from playing on the flanks and now more centrally. His 13 goals and eight assists in 30 appearances across all competitions have helped United to where they are at the moment, attracting interest from Barcelona.

Rashford has just one year left on his current deal with Manchester United and Barcelona wants to take advantage of that and bring him to the Camp Nou to replace current striker Luis Suarez. Rashford is believed to be one of the most promising talents in English football and tipped to become a mega success story, but he is still raw at the moment and needs to develop his game.

A move to Barcelona could do wonders for Rashford as he will be playing against the best of opponents but he could also damage his career because of the lack of football he receives at the club.
