Ricky Ponting Highlights Prithvi Shaw Weakness Right Before His Wicket Falls

The Prithvi Shaw Wicket- The Australia versus India Test series has started off with a bang. The Border-Gavaskar trophy kicked off with the pink-ball being used. It was the perfect start, at least for the hosts it can be said. Though they did not win the toss and Virat Kohli’s luck shined for once, India decided to have a bat. Despite that, things did not go as per plan for the visitors in this opening Test match.

A wicket on the second ball of the game would have delighted the audience in the background. Further, the Aussie fans at home would have been overjoyed as well.

The Comments Of Ricky Ponting That Went Viral As He Spoke About Prithvi Shaw’s Weakness

Right before Prithvi Shaw lost his wickets on the second delivery of the game, Ricky Ponting was highlighting his weaknesses. The Aussie legend was talking about the weakness of the player that costs him his wicket.

He was also talking about the player tends to get out generally. Here are the details that he provided-

Another Tweet On Social Media Heaping Praise For Mitchell Starc

While Prithvi Shaw was the guilty-party for his side, Mitchell Starc got a lot of praise. His perfect delivery got the young batsman out. It would have probably been too good even for an in-form batsman.

It is just his speciality and something that he loves to do. Below is the Tweet of appreciation that was sent out for him-

What Next For Team India And Prithvi Shaw?

India ended the first session on Day 1 of the first Test at 41-2. They had lost both their openers already. Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara were at the crease. The Indian duo would be expected to help their side post a huge score in the first innings.

Though Prithvi Shaw failed to impress in the first innings, he still has an opportunity in the second. Also, with Virat Kohli set to leave at the end of this match, the player may want to do more and retain his place in the team. Let’s see if he can actually do that or not.
