Scott Styris Makes His Prediction For The IPL 2021 Winner

IPL

The IPL 2021 edition is nearly upon us. The teams have been preparing for months now, as they get set to start the new edition of the tournament. IPL 2020 was organized well by the BCCI and the tournament was held in the UAE. A lot of teams were keen on taking advantage of that, though it was the Mumbai Indians that retained their title. A lot of Pundits and former cricketers have made their predictions as to who will win the IPL this year. With that being said, Scott Styris has decided his pick as well now.

The Mumbai Indians are the team to beat. Despite that, a lot of fans have opinions on who could win the title this year. That is also the case with commentators and other Pundits.

Whom Does Scott Styris Feel Will Win IPL 2021?

Some of these Pundits and former players and have already picked their favourites. Keeping that in mind, Scott Styris too chose the team he feels will win IPL 2021. According to the former New Zealand and CSK all-rounder, it should once again be the Mumbai Indians that retain their title.

That seems to be the case simply because of the fact that they have a well-balanced side. Also, Rohit Sharma seems to be one of the better captains in the IPL, with some of the other sides having major problems.

Below is the Tweet that Styris sent out about his IPL 2021 prediction-

The fans reacted to this line of thought and some of them agreed, while others disagreed as always. One of the guys who disagreed with this prediction was England spinner, Graeme Swann. The Englishman is a Rajasthan Royals fan. Due to this, he was in favour of the team that he admires.

Below is the funny response that Swann commented on this Tweet-

Well, the fans are just so divided on who will win this year’s IPL. However, many would be craving a new winner for sure. The fact of the matter though still remains that it will not be easy to beat the Mumbai Indians. They are a really good side and it is more of optimism rather than a sheer guarantee.

IPL 2020: Scott Styris highlights a concern for the Indian players

Further, Scott Styris has cited some really valid points as to why he feels that the Mumbai Indians should retain their title for a third consecutive year. Those would also come into play when deciding who can win the competition.

To add to that, IPL 2021 will be a tournament with eight teams. Next year could be different with the thought of a couple of more teams to be added soon. If that idea is entertained, things could be really different then. The competition will be tougher and the teams will have to play way better in that case.
