Is This A Sign Of Champions, The Way That Bengaluru FC Are Playing?

Bengaluru FC took on Pune City FC on a chill Friday night after grabbing 3 points with difficulty in their previous match against Delhi Dynamos. They look to continue their good run of coming into the game with 5 wins on the trot. They have been absolute class his entire season. On the other hand, Pune City has been struggling this season. Although Bengaluru FC did win the last game, they struggled against another struggling team Delhi.  They were lucky to get that win. They showed the attitude of champions, even though they didn’t play that good football they managed to get the win. They didn’t bow down till the last minutes.  The Chants from West Block increased in decibels in the dying amidst of the game which helped them secure a win against Delhi. This is how the match against Delhi went.
Serran was missed against Pune City with a groin problem. Rahul Bheke started as a centre-half alongside junan. Khabra and Nishu played as the full backs.  Eric Partalu replaced Khabra in midfield Bengaluru FC started the match against Pune to win a match by playing good football.
They were so fluent with their passes. Everyone knew who was present in which position.   Looks like Chhetri was right when he said that goal was important for the young kid (Udanta) after he scored the only goal against Delhi. He started this match with an attitude to get more goals under his belt and he got himself a reward for that. He threatened the Pune defence the entire game with his pace and skill. He cut inside shot the ball into the top corner to give Bengaluru FC the lead in the 11th minute. Chencho had his chances to increase the lead for Bengaluru FC so did Sunil Chhetri.

Eric Partalu was unlucky to hit the crossbar from his long-range effort. Bengaluru FC could have gone in at halftime with 3 to 4 goal advantage. Rahul Bheke was unlucky to deflect the ball into his own net which put the game on level terms at halftime. Bengaluru FC did create a couple chances in the second half but not as much as they did in the first half. They played like a champions side. They did not give up till the final whistle.  Khabra found Rahul Bheke from an absolutely beautiful cross who converted the cross to see to that Bengaluru FC bag the three points.

The five talking points of the game-

Miku was missed?

Bengaluru FC created so many chances in the entire game. They could have comfortably won the match if the chances were put away. As Miku has still not made his way back into the side it looked like he was missed today.  He would have put the ball back into the net if the chances had fallen to his feet. Bengaluru FC would have won comfortably with him in the side.

Played Like Champions

Bengaluru FC has got their winning streak intact with their win against Pune.  It is the longest winning streak in the history of ISL. They did struggle against Delhi but it was total opposite today. They had so much fluency in their football. It looked like they will score everytime they attacked They looked so comfortable with the ball. They played one-touch football.   They did not give up till the time referee blew the whistle. They will enjoy themselves comfortable at the top of the table

Chencho Performance

The Bhutanese striker is the replacement for Miku.  He was unlucky not to score today. He did have his chances to get his first goal for the club. Although he did not score he contributed a lot to the game with his pace and skill. Fans loved to see him get the ball. He had a really good game. If he improves his finishing which he lacks a bit he can be a lethal striker.

Pune Struggling

Pune never really threatened Bengaluru FC goal. They hardly had shots on target. They did create chances at times but the finishing wasn’t up to the mark. They never really got themselves into the game.  They struggled all throughout. This will have a major impact in their season.

Winning Mentality of Bengaluru FC

Bengaluru FC didn’t give up till the last minute in the last match against Delhi.  They saw to that they cross the line. They didn’t give up till the last minute.  They showed the same attitude against Pune too. Rahul Bheke helping them cross the line this time.   They were absolute class.  They have the never give up attitude. They set a new record too of having won six wins on the trot.

Can they cross the line and be Champions this season?
