Match Preview: Arsenal Vs Chelsea, Key Players Missing, Cech To Start; Who Will Win This European Title?

The Gunners are going to face the Blues in the Europa League final match at Baku. The match is going to be hugely important for both sides for different reasons. The willpower of Arsenal will certainly be more than the Blues as their Champions League qualification scenario depends on the result of this match.

The Gunners have finished at the fifth position in the League Table. The top four sides from England get the chance to play in the Champions League directly. Arsenal failed to achieve that mark under the management of Unai Emery. On the other hand, Maurizio Sarri’s Chelsea finished at the third position in the Premier League this season. That’s why they have already qualified for the Champions League in the next season.

So, the Blues will not have to handle the ample amount of pressure in this match. The Gunners will certainly wish to win it at any cost to make it to the Group stage of the Champions League next season. However, there are some rumours in England suggesting that the manager of the Blues Maurizio Sarri might be sacked if he fails to win the Europa League next Wednesday.

According to the sources, the top Serie A side Juventus want Maurizio Sarri as their new manager for the next season. However, Maurizio Sarri denied this rumour completely. According to the manager of the Blues, it would be very hard to believe that his job at Stamford Bridge depending on the result of this match. Meanwhile, Chelsea was also in the final of the Carabao Cup where they were beaten by Manchester City in the tiebreaker.

Team News:

Chelsea:

The Blues are currently facing several injury problems. Antonio Rudiger, the dependable centre-back of Chelsea will miss this match with an injury. Callum Hudson Odoi is starting to recover from his injury. However, the recovery before the beginning of this match might be too early for Callum Hudson Odoi. On the other hand, Ruben Loftus Cheek is out for six months with an Achilles tendon injury problem. N’Golo Kante came back in training after recovering from the hamstring injury and he might be ready to face the Gunners in this match. It will be very much to see which centre forward Maurizio Sarri opt to play in this match as both the centre forwards are not performing well in recent times.

Arsenal:

It is going to be the last match for Petr Cech for the Gunners. The Gunners will miss Aaron Ramsey in this match due to an injury problem. Otherwise, Unai Emery will be getting his full team against Chelsea on Wednesday. The duo of Lacazette and Aubameyang are going to be the key factors for the success of the Gunners in the Final of the Europa League.
