Premier League Manager Gives An Update On The Future Of This Chelsea Superstar

Burnley manager Sean Dyche has stated openly that he never had the thoughts of sending English midfielder Danny Drinkwater back to Chelsea. Dyche has personally talked to Drinkwater who has had a difficult season and is pushing hard for the 29-year-old to be a success at the Clarets.

He was recently targeted by thugs in Manchester after he was removed from a nightclub where he sustained an ankle injury recently and this had added further agony to him after he was caught drink driving earlier this year before his transfer took place.

The Comments Of Sean Dyche About Danny Drinkwater

When asked if he had plans to send the player back to Stamford Bridge, Dyche said, “You can do and I am not there to question people who do but I take things as I find them in my own manner and my own professional standards to find out first of all from the person what went on and then what their view of it is as that is important.”

“Everyone will have enough views of it from the outside.”

He said: “Every manager would like good characters with a great attitude who are flawless and all come in bright and breezy and all just play football and then go home and eat vegetables and chicken and drink loads of water but it is not the case.

“I’ve got flaws, they have got flaws and we have to work the good stuff and the not good stuff to iron out as many details as we can to give them an environment and a culture that I think is appropriate to allow them the best chance of doing well.

What He Further Went On To Say About The Chelsea Star?

“Like any other manager we try and get the right characters and if they are not quite where we want them we try and offer them the support that will make them be the best characters they can be – for their needs and they are good first of all.

“Eventually, if that does not work out then we shake hands and they move somewhere different, not always for that reason but sometimes. Everyone would like great characters but it is not that easy.”

“We try and rub off on everyone in the right way. I try and live my life the best I can and try and be well mannered and respectful of people as best as I can and I don’t think I have got everything right either so I can’t expect all my players and staff to have everything right.”

The England international is yet to make his Premier League debut for the Clarets after making his move on deadline day. He has only featured for 90 minutes in the EFL cup fixture against Sunderland which they lost 1-3 at home in the Turf Moor.

Sean Dyche’s team is currently sitting at 14th place in the Premier having earned five points from the first five games where they managed only one win so far. Dyche has been coaching the club since 2012 and has a contract running till 2022 which shows the immense faith shown in him by the management and the fans.
