The KL Rahul troll- It was an exceptional moment when English pacer James Anderson dismissed Pakistan skipper to claim his 600th Test wicket. Anderson became the first fast bowler to achieve that feat and fourth bowler overall in Test cricket. The 38-year old was in good rhythm when he dismissed Azhar Ali. This was in the second innings of the match. The player was in for a long haul in the Southampton Test, having scored an unbeaten 141 in the first innings. It turned out to be the match saver for Pakistan.
England started off brilliantly batting first and posted a mammoth total. Jak Crawley scored a scintillating 267 while Jos Buttler also backed him up with a 152. The Three Lions declared after posting 583. The visitors who were already under enormous pressure lost early wickets in Shan Masood and Abid Ali as Babar Azam, Asad Shafiq. Fawad Alam also could hold on for long at the crease. However, Azhar Ali and Mohammad Rizwan stitched a very important partnership which helped them draw the game.
The Post Of KL Rahul That Went Viral
Anderson was in red hot form in the first innings as he ran through the Pakistan batting order taking a 5-wicket haul in the process. The golden moment came during the 14th ball of Tuesday’s fifth day of play. The 38-year old’s delivery came rising up and moved away from Azhar Ali who was batting on 31 and took the shoulder of the bat. The knick was held by England captain Joe Root fielding at first slip.
Anderson’s current feat of 600 wickets puts him in the elite company only behind the legendary bowlers like Sri Lanka’s Muttiah Muralitharan (800), Australia’s Shane Warne (708) and India’s Anil Kumble (619). The British speedster reached the achievement in second quick time in terms of balls just after Muralitharan.
Cricketers from all over the world including the likes of Wasim Akram, Virat Kohli, Herschelle Gibbs, Irfan Pathan, Anil Kumble, Jasprit Bumrah and many others congratulated the English pacer of his legendary achievement.
The Story About The Post And What Next?
Indian batsman KL Rahul also wished the 38-year old on his official Twitter handle. However, the whole scenario took a very hilarious turn when he shared a picture trolling himself and captioned it as “1 of the 600”. The picture was Jimmy Anderson bowling and Rahul standing at the non-striker’s end during India’s tour of England back in 2018 where the hosts dominated India and won the series 4-1.
