SummerSlam is one of the biggest yearly events of WWE. This year, SS would be a must-watch show. ‘Biggest Party Of Summer’ is scheduled to happen on 23rd august in WWE‘s Performance Center. WWE has already booked some of the interesting matchups for the PPV.
Drew McIntyre would defend his title against Randy Orton. Rey Mysterio‘s son Dominik is going to make his debut against Seth Rollins. Other than this, Raw Tag Team Championships and the United States Title will be defended at the august event. Many of the top superstars are part of SummerSlam PPV, but some big and important superstars would probably miss this show.
Let us discuss some of the popular superstars, who can miss SummerSlam.
Three Superstars Who Could Miss The Event:
Brock Lesnar
Brock Lesnar is known for memorable contests at the Summer event. The Beast has an impressive record where he had won many matches against the top WWE talents. Last year, former Money In The Bank Ladder Match winner defended his Universal Championship against Seth Rollins. He lost the title in a memorable contest by pinfall. This year, Former UFC Star is not going to become part of the event. The Beast last competed against Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 36. It doesn’t look like Lesnar is going to have a match at the Summer event. He could return at Royal Rumble next year and make a big impact by breaking his record of most eliminations.
Goldberg
Goldberg is one of the most important superstars for WWE. Former WCW Champion always helps Vince McMahon in terms of ratings. He defeated Dolph Ziggler in a singles contest last year with a classic JackHammer. WWE books him at big events, therefore fans were expecting to become part of SummerSlam 2020. There is no means of bringing Goldberg without the presence of a live audience. Former Universal Champion will miss The Biggest Party Of The SummerSlam this year. Goldberg will probably return at next Saudi event after the pandemic.
John Cena
John Cena is one of the biggest names of WWE. Former US Champion last competed in a FireFly Fun House match at WrestleMania, where he lost the bout. After this, he made the distance from the wrestling to focus on acting again. There are no chances of John Cena returning to in-ring action anytime soon. This superstar faced likes of Randy Orton, Seth Rollins, Daniel Bryan, and many other top talents at The Biggest Party Of Summer. Sadly, Fans would miss a 16-time WWE Champion this year. According to the reports, he could make his presence felt at Survivor Series or Royal Rumble.
These are some of the top WWE superstars who will miss SummerSlam 2020. Without the presence of many top stars, Vince would try to make a strong match card, just like last year‘s PPV.
