The Jasprit Bumrah Story- The Chennai Super Kings will lock their horns against Mumbai Indians in the first match of Indian Premier League this season. The star Australian opening batsman Chris Lynn has been an integral part of Kolkata Knight Riders for last few seasons. In the auction ahead of the beginning of this season, the management of Kolkata Knight Riders decided to release Chris Lynn. Kolkata Knight Riders went for him in the auction, but Mumbai Indians were desperate to get their target man in this season.
After joining Mumbai Indians, Chris Lynn has been found to be really happy. According to Chris Lynn, Mumbai is a great city and it’s a quality franchise as they have won the most number of IPL titles so far. Mumbai’s home pitch is flat and moreover he will not have to face Jasprit Bumrah.
The Story On Twitter That Went Viral
Jasprit Bumrah has also welcomed Chris Lynn in his Twitter post. However, he has also mentioned that Chris Lynn will have to face him in the nets. The official Twitter handle of Mumbai Indians has posted a video where we can see that Chris Lynn is playing the balls of Jasprit Bumrah really well in the net. Even a few of them have been hit out of the ground.
Chris Lynn might not be the first choice as the opener in Mumbai Indians side. Mumbai Indians are one of the most successful franchises in the history of Indian Premier League. They have a set opening pair consisting of Quinton De Kock and Rohit Sharma. The management will not be eager to break this combination at the very beginning of the tournament.

What Next For The Mumbai Indians?
Rohit Sharma has been asked whether he will play in the middle order this season. However, the star Indian opening batsman has clearly mentioned that he will be opening the innings for Mumbai Indians in this season. So, Chris Lynn might have to sit on the bench for first few matches of the season. Mumbai Indians have a good pool of pacers in their squad. However, they will miss the service of the star bowler Lasith Malinga in this season. Lasith Malinga has not travelled with the squad in Abu Dhabi due to personal reasons.
That’s why it is expected that the duo of Nathan Coulter Nile and Trent Boult will be featuring for Mumbai Indians along with the star Indian bowler Jasprit Bumrah. Kieron Pollard is also an important member of this Mumbai Indians squad. So, Chris Lynn will find it tough to find his place in the first XI of Mumbai Indians this season.

The tournament is much awaited and both Jasprit Bumrah and Lynn will be eager to play. Let’s hope that the Mumbai Indians make a positive start to the new campaign. Their opposition will not rest easy though. MS Dhoni and co. will fight hard to avenge their final loss from last season.
Jasprit Bumrah will have to a huge role for Mumbai Indians in the absence of Lasith Malinga. The bowler has not played any sort of International cricket for the last six months. So, he will take a bit of time to adjust to the new condition of Abu Dhabi. The first match between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings will certainly be very much exciting and it will be interesting to see how the teams cope up with the condition of the United Arab Emirates.
