Now, something unique happened in CSK’s game against RCB. The story revolves around former Indian batsman Ambati Rayudu, who had gone off the pitch in the strategic timeout against RCB.
Ideally, the break is utilized to plan things out and implement them after the break. However, the star batsman from CSK disappeared during the interval, as confirmed. The player failed to return, prior to the completing of the two and a half minute break. It was confirmed that he returned only a couple of minutes after the actual break had ended and this was rather concerning for the fans.
The Answer To Why Ambati Rayudu Was Missing
There is no doubt that the team from Chennai is already facing its fair share of problems. They would have hoped that the in-form batsman would be okay and ready to continue. That was to be the case. However, fans on Social Media and across the globe wondered what had happened exactly?
Well, as the commentators talked about this unexpected delay in the proceedings, they said it on air, “We have gotten a missing player, that is what it is. We have got no Ambati Rayudu. He had left the field, we assumed for a bathroom break.”
What The Reports Had Suggested About The Former Indian Cricketer?
The claims had suggested that Ambati Rayudu had an upset tummy. Due to this, he wasn’t too comfortable playing in the game. However, he did go for a bathroom break and came back on the field and apologised to AB De Villiers and then Kohli. With that being said, he did manage to put in a decent performance with the bat.
The player managed to score 39 runs off 27 balls, with three 4s and two 6s. It was a good chase for CSK, who beat Virat Kohli’s side. The win was an eight-wicket one, with eight balls left to spare. After some poor showing in the tournament, the Chennai Super Kings were back in form.
Despite that, it was too little too late. They were knocked out of the IPL 2020 tournament, as the Rajasthan Royals won their match, later in the day. Ben Stokes helped them beat the Mumbai Indians with ease. Sanju Samson was his partner at the other end.

Though the Chennai Super Kings did not play well this term, there were surely some solid performances from their camp. One such rather more-consistent player was the former Indian batsman. Ambati Rayudu did make some key contributions that helped his team gather eight points in the tournament.
However, they were just not enough for them to go through, as they lost quite a few games as well. Consistency was the problem for MS Dhoni and co. Another problem that they faced was the fact that they lost Suresh Rainia and Harbhajan Singh, even before the tournament had started.
Dwayne Bravo was also injured and had seen his ups and downs. Shane Watson failed to deliver in the tournament too. Also, the youngsters saw their own set of problems in performing. However, the CSK team and management will take back some positives, as they look to end the tournament on a high.
