The Wasim Jaffer Story- After a 2-1 loss in the ODI series, India bounced back in the best way possible by winning the T20 series convincingly against Australia. Team India has sealed the T20 series by winning the first two matches. Virat Kohli and the team will be playing all out in the third T20 match to whitewash Australia in the limited-overs. That will be the perfect revenge for the defeat in the ODI series.
The Tweet By Wasim Jaffer That Went Viral
After India lost the first ODI match, many cricket legends mocked and criticized the Indian team. One of the widely regarded figures among them was ex English cricketer Michael Vaughan. After India’s loss in the first ODI, Vaughan tweeted “Early call … I think Australia will beat India this tour in all formats convincingly ..” Many former Australian cricketers supported that statement. Michael Clarke for example said that it would be a big achievement for the Indian team if they managed to defeat Australia.

In today’s match, India defeated Australia by 6 wickets and thus secured the T20 series. After the match, former Indian cricketer and Ranji legend Wassim Jaffer took to Twitter and roasted Michael Vaughan over his comment with a savage reply.
Jaffer retweeted Michael Vaughan’s tweet with a famous meme from the Hindi film ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’. In the scene, Manoj Vajpayee is forcing someone to see a brutal torcher and saying “Dekh…dekh na” (translation:- see…see now). The tweet was widely supported by all the Indian cricket fans and got viral in no time. The fans are also commenting on their own version of roasts targeting Michael Vaughan. Till now, Michael Vaughan has not come up with any reply.
The Former Indian Batsman Is On Fire On Twitter
Wasim Jaffer is an Indian former cricketer. He is a right-handed opening batsman and an occasional right-arm off-break bowler. He is currently the highest run-scorer in Ranji Trophy cricket, surpassing Amol Muzumdar. In November 2018, he became the first batsman to score 11,000 runs in the competition.
This is not the first time that Wasim Jaffer has tweeted something this savage and controversial. Recently, he has been frequently bashing the trolls of the Indian cricket team in his own unique and savage way through his ever-growing Twitter account. The former cricket currently has 60.5k followers currently. His account has been growing exponentially since he started replying to the trollers. The fans love it and Mr Jaffer makes these tweets often to keep his followers entertained.
What Is The Next Challenge For Team India Now?
The Indian cricket team has a big challenge ahead of them in the Test series against Australia. Indian skipper Virat Kohli will not be available after the first Test match due to her wife Anushka Sharma’s labour. Former Australian captain Michael Clarke had said in an interview that India will suffer against Australia without Virat Kohli leading them. Moreover, there is still no confirmation regarding Rohit Sharma’s availability.
BCCI has still not cleared the cloud of confusion that they created regarding Rohit’s injury. Most probably India will have to play without Kohli and Rohit in the last two test matches and that’s something to worry about. Somehow, if India does not succumb to the pressure and manage to outshine the sturdy Australian team, our hero of the moment Wasim Jaffer may get yet another chance to roast Michael Clarke.
