The Jonty Rhodes-Sachin Tendulkar Story- Former South Africa cricketer Jonty Rhodes has found himself in a bit of awkward situation recently. As the years have passed by, people have been using social media platforms more and more. So, it has also made people more prone to hackers and fraudulent activities have increased. Recently, the hackers hacked Rhodes’ Twitter account and made things worse.
That too for a guy who has nothing to do with the conversation. Probably, he doesn’t even know about the whole situation that is going on or the political implications of the same, as he is a South African. Yet, he was dropped into the whole situation by some rather unconventional people.
The Sachin Tendulkar-Hate Bandwagon Is For Real
On Wednesday, February 3, Sachin Tendulkar, the God of Cricket, Tweeted about the talks regarding the farmers’ protest. Post this, the hackers posted Sachin’s Tweet in Rhodes’ account. For some, it may have been funny. However, for the legend of the game, it was far away from it. It was a matter of serious concern and he had nothing to do with it.
Sachin Tendulkar supported the Indian Government. That too, at a moment when popular celebrities like Mia Khalifa, Greta Thunberg and Rihanna supported the farmer’s protest. All of them Tweeted in favour of it. The Master Blaster said that India’s “sovereignty cannot be compromised” and the people need to “remain united”.
Sachin Tweeted, “India’s sovereignty cannot be compromised. External forces can be spectators but not participants. Indians know India and should decide for India. Let’s remain united as a nation.”
Hackers hacked Jonty Rhodes’ Twitter account.
Rhodes made a quick notice that his timeline had Sachin’s Tweet. He took a screenshot of the tweet and posted it on his Instagram handle. He wrote in the caption, “Appears that my Twitter account has been hacked, never had that before.” The South African is arguably the best fielder to have ever played the game of cricket.

Previously, even Team India’s captain Virat Kohli and Head Coach Ravi Shastri Tweeted about the farmer’s protest.
Let us all stay united in this hour of disagreements. Farmers are an integral part of our country and I’m sure an amicable solution will be found between all parties to bring about peace and move forward together. #IndiaTogether

Agriculture is a very important part of the machinery of the Indian economic system. Farmers are the backbone of any country’s ecosystem. This is an internal matter which I’m sure will be resolved through dialogue. Jai Hind! #IndiaStandsTogether #IndiaAgainstPropoganda ??

The farmer’s protest has been the headline for quite a number of days. On 26th January 2021, India’s Capital Delhi witnessed violence as the farmers held tractor rally and marched towards the Red Fort. Many Indian cricketers have come out and urged the nation to stay united at this point in time. They have also stated that this is India’s internal matter and the Government and the farmers will settle it through dialogue.
