After Team India beat England in the four-match Test series, there was a lot of praise for the players. The young talents of the home team played their heart out. They were brilliant in their performances in the last game. Two of the stars with the bat were Rishabh Pant and Washington Sundar. Both played really well, as Team India beat England by an innings and 25 runs.
Though Rishabh Pant managed to score a century, Washington Sundar’s effort of 96 was equally important. He failed to reach the milestone and the fans were disappointed to see that. ‘So close, yet so far’, says the whole story!!
Keeping that in mind, both players got special recognition from the Pundits and the fans. It was good to see these young talents shine on the grand stage.

It has been a great few months for Washington Sundar as well. He has performed quite well in the limited opportunities that he has got. However, it is now time for him to step up. The IPL 2021 is nearly upon us. The fans will want him to perform well in the domestic competition too. A good performance could decide his fate for the upcoming T20 World Cup as well.
There will be a lot of players competing for a spot in the T20 team. Washington Sundar will be one of those as well. However, in order to be part of the side, the upcoming tournament will be totally crucial. Similar will be the case for a lot of his team-mates from the current Indian side.
