The Indian women have not played any Test match since back in 2014. This is rather shocking to see an international team not being involved in the long format of the game. So far, they have played a tally of 36 Test matches. Despite that, there have been no such matches that they have featured in, at recent times.
The Latest Update On The Indian Women With Regards To Their Day-Night Test Match
It was confirmed recently that Test cricket could be revived for Indian women. They have not played a single Test in more than six years and could play one this year. It would be the first-ever day-night match.
The announcement was made by BCCI secretary Jay Shah quite recently on Twitter. He confirmed that the governing body of cricket in India had not forgotten its women. Shah further added that they would be fulfilling their commitment to the growth and development of women’s cricket in India.

The news was a really positive one and the Indian women would have been excited about this opportunity. Test cricket is the holy grail of cricket and this would have made them overjoyed, as they would be part of history. This was something that was promised by the BCC and is now being implemented.
