Watch: Kevin Pietersen Almost Gets Hit By A Ball Thrown By Dinesh Karthik; Responds On Twitter

Kolkata Knight Riders

Kevin Pietersen was one of the finest batsmen that English cricket produced. Dinesh Karthik, a really good batsman and wicketkeeper of the modern era of Indian cricket. However, the former KKR skipper was never known for his bowling. A recent segment between the two proved exactly why.

Dinesh Karthik has recently switched from playing international cricket to becoming a commentator. That is the transition that he is enjoying in recent times. However, with that being said a recent segment rather turned into something a little dangerous and funny.

What Was The Recent Segment Between Kevin Pietersen And Dinesh Karthik?

In a segment that involved both these former cricketers, it was just something that Social Media enjoyed. The segment was supposed to be about Dinesh Karthik throwing a few balls towards Kevin Pietersen, who would hit them away. However, things did not go exactly as per plan. They never do.

Below is the video of this funny incident that took place between the two ex-cricketers-

Kevin Pietersen dodged a bullet. Twice. The first one was fine, it was a bit far away. However, the third one was really close and just went above his head. That could have hit Pietersen in the face, though the South African born star dodged it.

However, the English commentator did not take it lightly. He responded on Twitter to the video that was put up. Kevin Pietersen reverted in a single line.

This was just something that Social Media loves to talk about. Fun, along with a little controversy just to stir up things in the game. What a sight this was. Let’s hope for more such moments in the future.

Nostalgia From The Time When The Duo Was Captaining And Vice-Captaining The Delhi Daredevils

The two were playing together in 2014 in the IPL and looked good. They were part of the Delhi Daredevils side that had some really talented stars at that point. Though the team never managed to win anything, they were right there at the top. They looked really good and had hyped up the expectations of the fans.

Eventually, it did not materialize to much. Despite that, the fans were just reminded of the time when the team from the capital had all the attention. Eventually, Dinesh Karthik went on to play for the Kolkata Knight Riders and eventually Kevin Pietersen retired in a few seasons.

Now, this face-off will be quite memorable and it will bring back some memories of India versus England too. Some of those high intensity matches that caught everyone’s attention. Those days and games were absolutely brilliant. A trip down memory lane for sure and the fans would want more of the same. Hopefully, the upcoming series between the two sides can live up to the expectations now. Only time will tell.
