Bangladesh faced off against Australia in the third T20 match of Australia’s tour of Bangladesh. In the last three days, Bangladesh had not only beaten Australia twice but also have put themselves in a position to win their first cricket series against the mighty Aussies. A win in the third T20 ensured that Mahmudullah would be the first Bangla captain to lift a trophy in front of Australia.
After a Nasum Ahmed show in the first T20, it was pleasing to see the likes of Afif Hossain and Nurul Hasan help their team cross the line in the second game. The Bangla bowlers performed impressively right through the series. They’ve exploited the conditions to get Australia on their knees time and again.
Two of Australia’s three-lowest totals when batting out their full 20 overs have come in this series. A 108 and 121 runs in what Matthew Wade and company have managed in the two games. Their batsmen have struggled to shift gears and tackle Bangladesh’s spin attack. When compared to the batting attack, the bowlers have done considerably better but not enough for a win.
The Incident Between Shoriful Islam And Mitchell Marsh That Went Viral
The only silver lining for Australia is Mitchell Marsh’s form. The allrounder scored 45 runs and bowled one economical over against Bangladesh in the second T20. However, there was an incident between Shoriful Islam and Mitchell Marsh that caught a lot of attention. The players indulged in an on-field personal battle.
Below is the video of the incident that was talked about on Social Media-

HEAD-TO-HEAD
Bangladesh and Australia had faced each other six times in T20Is. Bangladesh had won a couple of matches and the Aussies have emerged victorious on four occasions.
The Story of The Game:
The home side made 127/9 in their 20 overs. It was a good bowling performance from the visitors to restrict Bangladesh to a gettable score. Despite that, they could only make 117/4 in their 20. They fell short by 10 runs and lost the game. This should have been a win for the Aussie side.
However, they could just not get the job done and carry the team over the line. It was another painful loss for them. This was the third T20 match that they lost and the fans would have been really disappointed with the performance. Hopefully, better things to come in the upcoming two matches.
