News has broken out that one of the commentators involved with the IPL has now been arrested. He is also a well-known and reputed player.
The charges are for domestic violence and the arrest has been made. The name is none other than Australian opener Michael Slater. The former cricketer and ex-TV presenter represented the Aussie team in 74 Tests and 42 ODIs.

The Indian Express reports that cops arrested Michael Slater on his arrival. Meanwhile, the local media reports suggest that the New South Wales police confirmed that an initial probe had been started.
An official statement was released by them, “Officers attached to the Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command commenced an investigation yesterday. After receiving reports of a domestic violence incident alleged to have occurred on Tuesday 12 October 2021.”
The statement further went on to add, “Following inquiries, detectives attended a home at Manly about 9:20 a.m. and spoke with a 51-year-old man. He has since been arrested and taken to Manly police station.”

The cricketer-turned broadcaster had married Jo Slater back in the early 2000s. The couple started originally dating each other in 2005. It was a relation that was never really in the news.
