Arsenal Come Up With A FRESH AND IMPROVED Bid To Sign The €90m Star Player

Arsenal Transfer News: It’s been reported that Arsenal is still keen on acquiring 21-year-old Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Moises Caicedo this summer

Arsenal Transfer News: In the January transfer window, Arsenal made an offer of roughly £70 million for Moises Caicedo, which was subsequently rejected by the club. According to Football Insider, the Gunners are planning to make a large bid this summer.

The 21-year-old midfielder has become an integral part of Brighton’s team. He is one of the Premier League’s brightest emerging stars. With Thomas Partey, Arsenal really needs him. Moreover, Caicedo has the potential to be an excellent long-term investment.

When Arsenal expressed interest in acquiring him in January, the footballer went public with his desire to leave the Premier League team. Brighton, though, stood fast, and Caicedo remained a Seagull. He renewed his agreement with the club until the summer of 2027.

Given that he still has four years remaining on his contract with Brighton, it is reasonable to expect that they would now want higher compensation for his services. Arsenal’s willingness to spend big money on him is yet to be seen.

After increasing their bid to £70 million in January, Arsenal will need to do much better this time around. The asking price for Brighton is said to go close to £90 million, according to Football Insider. The Premier League club is expected to earn a massive profit on the midfielder this summer after signing him for £4.5 million in 2021.

What’s next for Moises Caicedo?

Arsenal has excellent odds of winning the Premier League and qualifying for the Champions League next season. They are talented but lack the depth to contend next season. Mikel Arteta should make signing Caicedo a top priority if they want to strengthen their midfield.

It’s possible that he’d be a great complement to Partey in the Gunners’ central midfield role. He’d help them maintain command of the ball and set the tempo. The 21-year-old is a hard worker with an excellent pressure reputation. Caicedo will provide defensive support for the Arsenal midfield.

It has been rumoured that the Gunners, Manchester City, and Real Madrid are all interested in Brighton teammate Kaoru Mitoma, who plays alongside Caicedo. This past season, Mitoma was on loan with Union SG after signing with the Seagulls in the summer of 2021 for under €3 million.

In his first season in the Premier League, he has been outstanding. He has contributed to six goals and four assists in 13 appearances. It’s no surprise that the Japan national team’s stellar play has sparked transfer rumors. Reports have Arsenal, City, and Madrid all keeping eyes on the player.

Brighton want to give Mitoma a huge new contract. Thus making him the club’s best earner, in an effort to fend off the Arsenal (albeit that obviously hasn’t succeeded when it comes to Caicedo) and other interested parties.
