PAK Vs NZ: 30-Yard Circle Marked Incorrectly For 2nd ODI; Fans Respond

PAK Vs NZ

PAK Vs NZ Update!! New Zealand lost the toss at the Pindi Cricket Stadium in the 2nd ODI match against Pakistan. The hosts chose to bowl and set the visitors to bat, after winning the first match. It was another game that they were expected to win. And the team from the Asian subcontinent decided to take advantage of the home conditions.

With that being said, the Kiwis got off to a decent start. However, there was a funny incident that stopped play for quite some time. The umpires had to intervene and get things sorted out. And this was probably one of the rare occasions when such a sight was visible!!

What Happened In The First Innings Of The PAK Vs NZ 2nd ODI!?

When New Zealand was set to bat, they wanted to make a positive start. After losing the first game, it was crucial to get a big total on the board and to put the home side under pressure. However, there was a brief stop in play. And the incident was just too funny for rival fans, whole the fans of the home side must have felt embarrassed with what had just happened!!

For the first time (probably since the dawn of time and the start of cricket), a huge mistake was made. The 30-yard circle that plays a key role in the field restrictions was incorrectly measured. And this forced the umpires to stop the play. And then the error had to be corrected!!

Well, despite the IPL going on and the Gujarat Titans playing the Kolkata Knight Riders at the same time as this game, it was trending on Social Media. Cricket fans love to talk about such things. And Pakistan just did it again!! Haha!!

This Is A Crucial Game For New Zealand And They Will Want To Win This Match!!

It is a 5-match ODI series and the Kiwis will want to win this game. That is, if they still want to remain in the series. A 2-0 lead for the home side would be too much to recover from. And though the visiting team doesn’t have some of their most experienced players playing at present, there can be no excuses.

With that being said, it will be interesting to see who comes out on top. With the 50-over World Cup in India, later in the year, this could be quite a crucial series for both sides. Whether Pakistan plays in that tournament or not, remains to be seen!!

For now, the focus for both teams will be to win. And as mentioned earlier, this game will be quite crucial. If the hosts win this match, the series can be wrapped up in the 3rd ODI. If the visitors win, there is still a tough fight expected between the two teams for sure. Let’s wait and watch!!
